OK, I was responding to only what you wrote, not what you meant. I was also responding to a very common complaint, which your post seems to suggest. Not to mention, if you don't have Viki, why would it be relevant to your waiting for new episodes to be released? Why bring Viki up at all?
Last but not least, none of what I said was personal. I only used "you" in exactly one rhetorical question. Needless to say, this "you" could be interpreted as the universal (plural) "you." It's only "personal" if you choose to take it that way.
From 2nd ep, i would say the way dialogues were written is so good. The caps part and the way ye li don't just…
Well, for one thing, TFJ is currently being broadcast on Chinese national TV. (Viki is keeping up with the ongoing broadcast schedule.) Should you get preference over the one billion plus domestic audience?
Not to mention, if Viki were to release all the episodes immediately, what interest or incentive would it give anyone to subscribe to Tencent/WeTV (or Disney+) apps & streaming services?
Last but not least, why would any other international OTT platforms ever purchase distribution rights from Tencent (or any other C-ent company) in the future if Viki gives away their proprietary content right away?
This is common (business) sense, but each & every day, some MDL user or other asks the same question about each & every C-drama. The present schedule is what it is for good reason.
I was waiting for this drama because I liked some of the actors, but is it worth watching 40 episodes? I'm hesitant.…
Unless they're trolls, most people in this comments section seem to think so. Are you like most people in this comments section? Most people in this comments section don't know you well enough to answer this question (about whether or not you are like most people in this comments section).

Judging by your tentative & tenuous grasp of the English language, I must've mistakenly assumed you came from that crazy kpop-obsessed country (iykyk) with the low literacy rates. My bad.
Sadly, I'm not that surprised anymore.Just take a look at ZYR's prev series, GtG. Hardly started and it was flooded…
You're a blindly biased fanatic, so no surprise there. I personally think Wang XingYue is as good or better.
The difference is that I'm a straight guy, so I can be relatively objective, unlike some fangirling fanatics who fantasize about ZYR because they have no one IRL.

Despite the fact that your posts resemble text messages from a ten-year-old, I understand exactly what you wrote.
I'm not sure you understand what I wrote. Do you understand what it means to "cherry-pick?"
You seem to think that there's some sort of MDL conspiracy against ZYR or something, so you point to low-rated ZYR dramas as evidence. You intentionally leave out high-rated ZYR dramas because that would defeat your argument and destroy your narrative.
You are not so much a fan, but a fanatic. ZYR is doing fine on his own; he doesn't need you to defend him against each & every real or imagined slight. He doesn't even know or care you exist.
I was trying to be tactful & discreet in my prior post, but you chose to reply with passive-aggressive condescension, so no more Mr. Nice Guy.

Cherry-picking at its finest! Not surprisingly, you conveniently choose to leave out ZYR's two highest rated dramas: WIFTY (9.0) & Twelve Letters (8.8) because they don't fit the narrative that you're trying to spin.
With the possible exception of Wang XingYue, I'd regard ZYR as arguably the best C-drama ML 25 & under. But that doesn't mean I should assume some kind of anti-ZYR conspiracy going on at MDL. Does he have anti-fans? Sure. But who doesn't?
The whole "if X deserves this rating, then Y deserves that rating" thing is silly. Even if all MDL users share the same exact tastes & preferences, ratings still wouldn't be transitive. No one rates the entire MDL drama list holistically. Not to mention, different people are rating different dramas at different times & places. Otherwise, Nirvana in Fire should be 9.9+.
All the ratings are legit. Some MDL users built their own time machines.
You don't appreciate the concept of sarcasm, do you?
Or, do you think time machines actually exist?
That's exactly my point. I'm making "the whole thing [including the perpetrators] sound even more ridiculous."
I can't believe I actually have to explain that I'm agreeing with you.
To be honest, why you thought MDL ratings were ever "credible" is beyond me. It's fairly obvious that anyone can rate whatever they want however they want, so why get all worked up over it? No one in the C-ent industry does, assuming they even know or care that MDL exists.
Thanks for the clarification re: Viki.

Controversial ratings drive traffic (clicks & comments) to this site. At the end of the day, it's all about the bottom line for MDL.
Can't we all just get along? 🙂
Hope your exams went well.
This time don't say you already did it.
MDL league tables (ratings) are about as reliable as roulette tables. Where they stop, nobody knows.
Like casino gambling, MDL users can also bet on future events (i.e. rate unreleased episodes.)
Oh, and you're welcome!
So, pray tell, why is your English embarrassingly "plain" & "average?" Remember, I'm only agreeing with what you said about yourself.
The difference is that I'm a straight guy, so I can be relatively objective, unlike some fangirling fanatics who fantasize about ZYR because they have no one IRL.
