Just curious what's your country of origin? I'm wondering because you seem to be in a position to look down on…
Oh, I see. I'm more xianxia than wuxia, so haven't seen MLC yet. I'm guessing those who have would've recognized that pouch (?) he's wearing on his right shoulder.
Nice chatting with you. I'm sure we'll run into each other soon enough, given our similar interests.
So much Cantonese in this. It is odd for those of us used to the Mandarin normally used in dramas. BJT had to…
Yeah, my amateurish Bayesian analysis.
As for Cantonese, I learn partly via osmosis due to my proximity to NYC Chinatown.
Incidentally, I pronounce "foot" in Cantonese very well. Because I frequently order chicken feet for dim sum, although in my mind, I'm chewing "Phoenix Claws."

Both Columbia & Northwestern offer journalism at the masters level, but Columbia doesn't offer it at the undergraduate level, so it's possible that he went to either one of them.

At the risk of sounding elitist & self-serving, I'd argue top American universities do not generally offer vocationally-oriented degrees such as journalism (especially at the undergraduate level). The only exceptions are Columbia, a backup school for Harvard, MIT, Stanford, etc. rejects & Northwestern, a backup school for rejects from Columbia & other Ivy League schools.
Aside from that, for someone with 30 years of journalism experience, @etoks21 doesn't even bother to go to the original or even secondary source. That's bad enough, but it never occurred to him to do a simple fact-check of the MDL article.
It says that C-netizens were upset by the five gold stars on the carpet. So he says that that's something ridiculous to get upset over because there are more than five gold stars on the carpet.
But from what I understand, that's not what the C-netizens were pointing out. They were referring to the five-POINT stars on the carpet.
This @etoks21 character is an awful journalist, among other awful things.
Given that you're a grown a$$ adult watching cartoons in your mommy's basement, you probably shouldn't go around calling other persons "unwell."
Come at me again & prove me right yet another time, but whatever, as you like to say.
Have you read some of the back & forth going on here? You'd have to say something very profane or racist to get kicked out of MDL.
If other people commenting about something bothers you, why are you even bothering to comment on their commenting, let alone read their comments.
I'm not Scottish by the way, before you all start about what country I'm not from.

Fung jow (fancy term)
(Not sure if there's any official spelling, but this is as close as I can get using English phonetics.)
Yes, har gow. One of my 3 favorites, along with fung jow and law bok go.

Just a couple of weeks ago, I was talking to my cousin from Toronto.
Who is the silver-haired person in your avatar?
I'm not enough of a C-drama expert to tell without seeing the face.
Who knows?
Based on the "bubble tea" in your username, are you by any chance from HK, SF, NYC or, maybe, Vancouver?

"Different strokes." I don't know if pun intended or not, but I loled!
Also, I'm not sure @etoks21 identifies as a "he." Could be "it," for all I know.
Just curious what you mean in your other reply to me by "he is like that."
Who is like what?
