Also, I’m starting to think Gaysorn’s dad was the one who originally extracted the scent from his wife. My guess is he first took it from Gaysorn’s mom and gave it to Scent’s dad, but once he found out she was pregnant, he probably backed off. Maybe he was afraid the perfume company would find out she’d lose the scent after giving birth and do something horrible to her.
And honestly, the way the uncle acts around Scent’s dad is giving major villain energy. I’m lowkey convinced he’s the real big bad, and maybe even the one behind Scent’s dad’s illness.

That said, I’ll admit his acting in the drunk scenes felt a bit stiff to me. But he’s clearly got so much potential, and I’m fully rooting for him to grow into the role as the series goes on! 💛
