Still watching Ep 8 - why did they reveal the mom secret so lightly? I mean I know it was realistic but I was expecting some usual dramatic effect of kdramas 😂
The only 2 things I'm not sold are the romance and the Male Lead. It feels rushed, by episode 2 Junho already…
I agree with you on some level, especially on the lines that male lead has not established his character and it seems too rushed.
Or it could be like how Choi Soo Yeon questions that he should check if his feelings are of sympathy or love. I think the blackout in Ep 7 would be an answer to that, that he is unsure?
But yes, definitely should show as to who he is and why he likes WYW - not buying in the whole that he is an overly kind fellow. Kindness is not equal to love at first sight. Especially when WYW is emotionally complex.
I don't know if it could have done without romance, I personally am okay with it, but then I am a sucker for romance, but yes, at least should show how they drew closer. Not just the fact that WYW finds only him good looking and kind.
Let's see it is just mid-way of the drama, maybe there would be something in store 🤞🏼
Since Min-woo is being a complex character - I think the actor is doing a great job. Negative or annoying roles are hard to do justice - so kudos to him and hoping he realizes his mistrust/jealousy is not right
Another character comparison would be Snape from Harry Potter. Not that Min-woo is helping WYW in any way, like Snape did, but he is annoying and not a likeable character, initially. Ultimately we saw what a great character he was #always!
I have a feeling Min-Woo will do a major F***-up and then realize WYW was good and right all along. Or remain bad. 😈
His backstory doesn’t justify him being very jealous towards WYW.
Agree, and I think that is the point being made and hopefully, the show will depict how he will realize it.
I think it is a brilliant way how towards the same person WYW - different people are reacting and all are normal human reactions.
It is a reality - that not everyone WYW meets will be kind and understanding to her, some would question that whether her disability is her weakness or actually giving her an edge?
Taking a note from @Yesmissa's comment, I think it began more in the recent episodes, where the audience might be tempted to view Min-woo as a negative character.
⭐I think through Min-woo's character the show makers are trying to show us two sides of the coin. It is the truth - that not everyone WYW meets will be kind and understanding to her, some would question that whether her disability is her weakness or actually giving her an edge?
⭐Two view-points: • When a specially-abled person sees others who are not differently-abled get all the things they are not getting, or being called out for their disability is Unfair to them • When someone who is not specially-abled person sees a specially-abled person getting things a bit more comfortably because of their disability, it can seem unfair to them as well
Also, something to keep an open mind on:
• We do not know his own backstory. At the end of the day, everyone fights their own battles in life. It could be that Min-woo has himself worked hard from the ground up relying only on himself. He is just another man who is aiming for himself and looking out for himself. • Not everyone one can empathies at the same level - some may go out of their way to help others, some will do basic minimum, and it is all okay • Like us, we aim for equality for specially-abled. Now the definition of equality can be differnet for many - some can view it as doing things more for those who are disabled, sometimes coddling or pitying them. Some can be indifferent and treat disabled people as same as they would who are not - and both are okay, as long as you are not being rude, unkind and discriminatory.
I am not trying to hurt any sentiments, it is just that I feel the writers have done a great job and the actor in portraying - how different people react to a single instance or person in this case - Attorney Woo. 💓

But thanks to your review (I read till the non-spoiler part) I think it is going to be a plot that I like - a jigsaw puzzle that all comes together in the end.
