I was not going to watch "Our Sticky Love" - even though it was being highly advertised on social media, cause I did not feel attracted to the story and trailer. Then just today I saw a fight scene where people were all hyped only to know that my talented man - LEE JUN YOUNG is in it. Like WHATTTTT - HOWWWW!!
I think even MDL pages have been updated recently - cause when he was going to military I was specifically checking out what new work would release in his absence and only "Four Hands Two Sonatas" was mentioned. And now this - I was so surprised and happy.
Not sure if I will watch the drama - but surely watching his scenes as KAITO! (the man really loves Japan it seems - he's mentioned it too, and look at his character name - so cute!)
I was just browsing through my PTW - and Watcher is one of the dramas I have to watch but somehow not getting to it. I remembered Hyun Joo being in it and just opened her page and then realised that she's almost 50. I was like WHAAATTTT!!
To me she will always be Gu Jun Pyo's noona - and she does not look anything beyond maybe mid-30s. Like wow - seriously, that's some really good care of yourself.
A popular meme/joke popped up in my head seeing her age and beauty - could it be cause she's stress-free and single? πππ If so, I am considering her as my role-model #jk
surprising but also maybe too much it doesnβt fit the plot really? the found family trope to be so real and…
I guess yes - it's been kind of stretched to fill 12 eps. Therefore while am enjoying the show - I will not call it a masterpiece as my rating system. It could have been wrapped up in 10 eps and then maybe the Lizard betraying them would not be played out.
Let's hope the final makes everything good - we are making the Lizard the villain but maybe he's not - something else whacky can totally happen
Ep 11 - this was totally Lizard's episode. Tbh, it was kind of dragging on, but both times Lizard played us.
In the first part - I was like Nooooooo, not my favorite ahjussi πͺπͺπͺ Not Sunjae appa!!! And then he reveals he's alright - really had us there, making me emotional for a bit.
And in the end, he literally put the πͺ in people's back πππ Lizard indeed, it was sailing too smoothly - finally the finale is here, and can't wait to see how it ends.
what are you speaking about ??? here it's a Taiwanese BL
In S-Line they were all red connecting threads, but unlike thread of fate it was more for sexual encounters/body counts.
I have not seen the current Taiwanese dramas - but saw the first few minutes, and here it is all different bonds, and they were of many colors than just red.
Yeah when I saw those thread on their head, it's the first drama that came to my mind. Fated thread are usually…
Exactly - and it's like its bond lines - there are many colors than just red. It's just that I immediately thought of S-Line for some reason, and thought to ask - in case there is some common thread. Thanks for sharing :)
Ep 8: PBE: You're being very rude to the guy who's interested (sseomnam/casual dating) in you. JS: I don't date trash PBE: Then what will you do with me? (Me internally: OMO OMO OMO!!) JS: I think I can make things very interesting for you....
The whole atmosphere would change if we changed the BGM, maybe to something like jazzy - Careless Whisper, kind?
Why was this scene kind of hot? Like they really were whispering, full-on husky voice, for a dialogue that was supposed to be threatening! πππ I loved this psycho villain-hero standoff....What great actors, and what a scene!
I love love love JI-SUNG! The moment I saw him in Kill Me, Heal Me to now - he's not changed a bit in his looks (like how?). I simply cannot miss any of his work - and end up loving every one that I have seen. He's so talented and literally owns every character that he plays. I am always in awe.
And what a cast - except for the little boy, I think I have seen each and everyone of the other cast members in some or the other drama/movie. Like I might not recall their names, but I know their character or the name of their drama / movie. Everyone is really brilliant.
I just started watching this drama - I was waiting for it to come close to the end, so that I can binge it. I have just seen 2 episodes so far - and it's a little slow (but that's a personal preference) but it is super hilarious even as it is being set up. My favorite ahjussi playing the "Father" - I love this man, in any drama! Can't wait for remaining episodes and the finale this week!
right? they're so cute and natural in the way their feeling show for each other it feels realistic and down to…
absolutely - this is what I look forward to now; the mature way of handling relationships yet at the same time it has it's typical rom-com cliche moments!
Ep 8 - that was such a mature confession. I loved it - like they were both having feelings for each other but there was no dramatic scene, just a simple "my feelings are genuine for you" - Ahhhh I loved it.
Looks like the Ji-Hwan and Prosecutor Ma connection has been confirmed. Can't wait to see Min Hwan's role in the accident 12 years ago.
Love this drama - so simple, fun, romantic and keeping the mystery alive...
this was such a great and fun quiz - thank you making the time and making it :) π and the reward in the end was the best - till the time I plan a trip to Korea, I shall watch more K-dramas π€£
He still looks so good, brings back the memories of the first time I saw him and started my K-drama journey! I'd admit I was not a fan of his latest dramas, but this film looks like the ones that 100% focused on story and raw acting than shimmering effects of rom-coms. I personally feel as a more mature actor he shines in them more (I really liked his Gangnam Blues, Pachinko).
Connection between Ji-Hwan and ML - Prosecutor Ma: Ji-Hwan who was Min-hwan's brother (not real) was the person…
I absolutely forgot the movie Ji Hwan - I watched it so long ago. Thank you for reminding. And I like your version of it - how Ji Hwan is protective. I thought he was haunting her or punishing her in some way with the way he appeared to her after her accident - when he's sitting on the same row as her in the university lecture hall.
But I guess it was just the way it was shown with the BGM - looks like he's protecting her. YR is also an old family friend of both Ji Hwan and Min Hwan - maybe Ji Hwan loved her or treated her like his sister. And continues to do so even in spirit form.
I totally missed who would have written the message on the mirror. This would be so poetic - truly, if its how the drama is heading. Sad but poetic.
Thoughts after Ep 6: 1. I know it is fictional but then its so sad when your own family is plotting against you…
Connection between Ji-Hwan and ML - Prosecutor Ma:
Ji-Hwan who was Min-hwan's brother (not real) was the person who died while saving Cheon Yeo-ri on the yacht accident. It's his ghost that her ex-fiance saw in the parking lot. Looks like he's been threatening others to keep away from Yeori. His spirit is possibly angry - that he didn't survive and Yeori did? But that's not possible since he risked his life and jumped to save her. So maybe he had a one-sided love for her, and now in spirit form it has turned into obsession of sorts? It seemed like the ghost was harassing her since her university days/after the incident.
Now given the intel that Min-Hwan is gathering on Prosecutor Ma - looks like the latter has had a heart transplant around the same time that Yeori had the accident. The way they did not show the face of the donor but made out that he was a male - looks like that could be Ji-Hwan.
So a lot of things come to my mind: Maybe Yeori wanted to put Ji-hwan's spirit to rest, but then because his heart (a part of him) was missing, he was not able to leave to the afterlife. Yeori therefore continues to live with the curse. When she and Prosecutor Ma will start dating - Ji-hwan will try to scare him as well but he would not leave Yeori's side. Ultimately we will come to know that Ji-hwan was the donor, and through Prosecutor Ma - he will let go of Ji-wan's resentment, and send him to afterlife properly and break Yeori's curse. OR Prosecutor Ma will think he has to sacrifice himself to break Yeori's curse cause his heart is the key - but in the end moment, all will resolve magically or through some logic which am not sure of lol (maybe Ji Hwan will forgive and pass on)
Just an observation - in Ep 4 when we saw Prosecutor MA getting treatment, there were no surgery marks on his chest. Given K-drama creators are always dropping hints and zoom in on scars etc - I am not sure if the above theory holds, but still I am guessing it was an oversight and Ji Hwan's heart = Prosecutor Ma is the one who's having it.
