story developing well, very high production standards

Story is coming along. I am impressed by the professional quality of the design, photography and direction. The school band scenes were well performed and no attempt was made to disguise the off-key singing, which was realistic. The cast do a good job, especially the lead boy New playing Fou4Mod, who has to show a lot of differet moods, being sometimes like a child when with his classmates, sometimes confident, and in this episode vulnerable. The attention given to false nails and stickers seems juvenile to me, but I am not Generation Z! The cast are mostly older than their characters, which is usual, but Pide who plays Chian has a very masculine face and shaved facial hair and looks significantly older than New. There is only 3 years difference, but in the last scene it looked like a man and a boy together.

characters not so striking as the 2016 characters

First episode is pretty good, Each of the 2016 cast stood out larger than life, but the 2026 characters are not so well defined and are less humorous than the 2016 cast. Some of the script was very contrived, with actions which do not follow from previous actions, like the scene in the restaurant where the owner's trousers are pulled down. The new Wit so far is too weak a character here. The two leads Fuse and Tee have almost fixed expressions. Fuse looks bewildered and wide-eyed. Tee mostly looks wooden and unhappy. It reminds me of Love Sick 2024, where Phun played by Almond looked miserable through most of the series whatever happened. It is the director's job to make the actors express the characters.
