But the thing is it's not. Watch Korean or just Asian movies and it's the exact same and has been for decades. The only change to a more "western style" is the more actual well written and well produced shows being made. Before that it was just romcom central with only a few of even those having a crazy budget. I think this couldn't be better honestly as someone who doesn't like cheesy stuff.

You're missing three vital words my friend... "not to say". If someone types "not to say" before a statement and "however" right at the end, it usually means they are saying the opposite to the middle portion of the sentence. "not to say REVENANT WASN'T GREAT HOWEVER" = However I am not saying revenant wasn't great.

It depends on the person but if I had to compare then the revenant isn't even in the horror genre compared to this - but trust me this is better

Honestly expected better from the highest grossing movie in the country. it's a good time but there's nothing to really make you care for any of the characters or the outcome of the battle. Well acted and made but could've been better
