just finished ep 4 and all i have to say is this:

is the writing weak? yes. is the acting questionable? also yes. is the directing debatable? absolutely. and yet, i only stopped watching once i ran out all the available eps. it’s like a car crash you just can’t look away from 😭💀

on ep 3 so far and i have to admit i’m enjoying this more than i expected, especially after all the negative comments. it’s not a masterpiece, of course, but a show isn’t bad just because the characters are.

I agree and disagree when you say that I won’t find the level of quality I’m looking for in BLs. I’ve watched several BLs from other companies, such as Jack & Joker, KinnPorsche, The Wicked Game, Century of Love, Knock Out, and The Bangkok Boy, all of which have well-executed fight scenes. But when it comes to GMMTV, I rarely see that same high standard, with the exception of Not Me and, perhaps, The Heart Killers (which I watched mainly because of FirstKhao), but I understand what you're saying.
