Tay Tawan is a precious bean.

Only recently I found myself watching Thai dramas and shows, and Tay has been a constant presence in them, since he is in one of the so-called "pillars" of GMMTV. I started watching this TV show because I love learning about other cultures and Tay's enthusiasm is unmatched. This particular episode - set in Chiang Mai during the preparation for the Thai New Year - sees Tay and a student of English interviewing a bunch of foreign tourists, and then Tay helping his Grandma cook. The interview section, with the two hosts speaking English to the people who aren't familiar with the culture is always nice, and it's been in the format since episode 1. The more lovely part of the episode, however, is when Tay arrives to his Grandma's house with a big smile on his face and he greets his older sister and already mentioned relative. Unfortunately, as I write this, I already know that Tay's Grandma passed away at the end of last year, so watching this episode felt very bittersweet, but I am glad that they managed to record how sweet their bond was. I love how fond Tay is of Grandma Nart, telling her he made merits so that he'd be her grandchild in another life, too, or wishing for her a long life, good health, and happiness every day. Overall, I found this episode very sweet, full of a familiar bond that was not fabricated for TV, which is very refreshing.
