The issue here is that the original novel is a bl and there are some rules against such dramas being aired in China

there are cases of forever shelved dramas and the chance of this one being one just increases by year. you see, a small scandal from the smallest role can bring a drama down.

I usually don't like thais remakes but I prefer this one over the japanese and chinese versions. I hate those but I liked this.
