sorry but i don't see how this drama deserves its 8.4 star rating bc i'm giving it a 6.5 for being way too draggy... the first 10 eps were pretty good in building the romantic tension between the leads, but thereafter they took tooooo long to get back together. eventually it just made their initial breakup sound lame. the chemistry is somewhat there but they paced it so badly that i got bored even in the supposedly cute scenes lol. the side plots were also meh, i'm not convinced by the romance between caomu and the younger dude. change my mind lol
episode 29&30 will have the consequences of their actions coming back tenfold.

currently at ep 17 and it's going well but on deeper thought, i can't help but feel that the ML (haoming) is actually psychotic bc how sane can he be to let his son grow up all these to think that they are brothers?! i pity his son or "younger brother" whose parents are actually his grandparents, and brother is actually his father!! wth that is some trauma that will take a while to undo/heal from.........

very rushed ending as echoed by many commenters here... i can't get over how bongsu simply just walked out of gyeonwu's body after untangling that 'mystery' or forgotten memory that he imagined having a friend by his side in his dying moments?? i thought that it was a given for the spirit to entirely possess a human after killing 100 victims... too easily swept under the rug lol
also just to clarify - yeomhwa had always tormented gyeonwu and his grandma (or torment gyeonwu thru his grandma) so that he would be weak and be a good host for an evil spirit?

totally agreed!! the age gap was still ooook since he does have a bit of a youthful vibe + the comedic scenes made him a little more immature and younger lol. but yes, how he morphs into each of his characters, i'm just mindblown. i just came here from 'our movie', such a 180 degree difference and hence soooo mindblown. some actors just stick to roles that they're familiar with (and no fault there since they are good at it) but i love how NGM challenges himself with a variety of roles.

the main couple got ENGAGED but we never got to see how the ML proposed and how they even ended up living tgt before the engagement/marriage?? it literally fast forwarded from him appearing at her dorm before graduation to after their graduation, post engagement. felt so rushed and for what... later on he gives her a ring and i guess we assume they got engaged without much flair probably to save money and pay off his debts? the writers did us bad in this last ep...
Namgoong Min absolutely showed his true skills in acting in this one - melodrama, romcom, suspense. man. i am absolutely mindblown by how he can be doing a comedic scene and next minute it's some intense betrayal scene - super natural transition, crazy talented actor. his comic scenes are absolutely LOL also
can someone explain to me what you got out of the last ep which is circular in nature - that it ended with their dialogue of filming the first scene of the movie? at the start of ep 12, the 2 also faded into the background and it became ep 1. the FL said that life starts after the end of the movie... i have my own understanding but curious what you guys think!
