Thanks for the warning! You quite literally saved me from needless frustration.
you're very welcome ahahaha now i'm stuck at ep 26 thinking if i should still continue on........... i hate leaving things unfinished but it's quite exasperating watching even aft they got tgt lol
the relationship between the leads is SO annoying bc they keep pulling and pushing back repeatedly................ no one warned me abt it so pls. BE WARNED!!
can someone explain to me why the FL continued to stay on in the company even after being humiliated? and moreover transferred to the admin dept when she is a lawyer??? does not make sense at all
Well, the bff considers the App more like a game. "how to seduce the VR BF in the fastest way". It's a…
yea that's tragic... that's why i feel it's such a waste that the drama did not cover that aspect about the ethics of AI for such purposes... could have been helpful and educational
better than decent drama if you watch it purely for the light hearted vibes and also watching the ML's affection towards the FL... super endearing! but i feel it's such a wasted opportunity to completely gloss over the ethics of using AI for romance/relationships in modern society (e.g. withdrawals from it due to dopamine addiction, warped sense of reality, etc). they even made the FL's bff (jiyeon) who used BOD excessively like a super user that they wanted her feedback on the app rather than consider that her hyper usage potentially had adverse effects on her mental health (instead she was portrayed to be unscathed/unaffected by dating 200+ characters in a month or smth)??
how did the FL's dad know that the two leads are tgt? towards the end, the ML only sought approval from her dad for marriage, as if he already had her father's approval for it?
dropped this after 7 episodes... only jang ki young was keeping me gg lol. i am unconvinced of the chemistry between the two leads, they try but the FL is especially robotic ><
i gave this overall 7.5 stars for excellent chemistry between the leads but there were just waaaaay too many things that were carelessly written - like simplifying mental health issues, the ML's dysfunctional family dynamic (he got reconciled with his mom too simply and their 13-year non-communication was over smth too trivial?? not to mention how his mother was also friends with her husband's mistress?? it was just briefly mentioned and not followed through lol), the unnecessary romance between jisun and young-u (i rly don't see any chemistry lol and them getting engaged aft a short fling??). oh and of cos the ending where actually her parents aren't dead - lol how is it that she lived all these years not knowing, was there no funeral held or a place she goes to pay her respect to her deceased parents? but fine... it's just a drama lol
i can't rmb who was the 2ML in YAMG but I do see the resemblance in writing style... quite a number of cringe moments and slightly draggy parts lol. nevertheless both dramas saved by the great chemistry of the leads!
based on your reply, i'm assuming zhuang xu would suffer a tragic fate at the end... oof
i don't get the point of this movie other than the overused cliché that true love goes beyond physical appearances... we don't get any insight as to why the male lead has such an illness (or why his dad had it and passed it on to him). also with his face changing everyday how did he even manage to travel overseas bc he wouldn't match his passport photo? someone please try to change my mind...
