A Cute Little Story!

I watched this in one sitting, because it was pretty short. Honestly I watched it because some of the reviews were pretty positive about this being a bromance. It was really cute, but there were a lot of things I did not think positively about. First of all because this story is so short, there really wasn't time to fully develop the characters or their feelings for one another. I could see these two boys becoming close as they were both lonely, but it still felt to me like they just developed a friendship. This was not bad, but it certainly did not lend itself to being romantic in any way. Also there were things that were left out, such as what happened to the girl in the story and how the relationship with the respective adults in their lives turned out. This series has little to recommend it and even less rewatch value. I'm not sorry I watched it, it was cute enough, but it is not one that I could comfortably recommend as a bromance.

Not my cup of tea!

I have watched a lot of shows, but this one was the worst - my own opinion of course. More of a gangster movie than anything else. Some scenes were just too unbelievable to watch. This series did not stir up any strong feelings of romance, love, happiness, etc. so it wasn't something I would normally watch, I gave it a try because the rating was high, but the only character I even liked was the main character, the mafia boss's son. And in my opinion, he was just used by everyone. It is definitely a dark series.

Frustrating... But Realistic

I try to be careful to not put in spoilers, but I do want to say this... The first five or six episodes made me almost stop watching. I REALLY was so angry at both main characters. If you give up watching during these episodes, as I almost did, you will miss out on a great series. Hang in there, it is worth it! The show has a great cast, awesome acting skills to the point where it does not feel like you are watching a show but can really be immersed in it. I will also say if you like comedy, this show has none, if you like a lot of kiss scenes (or s*x scenes) you won't find them in this series - for me personally, without a little physical emotion or even gazing into each other's eyes, etc. although the series is really good it never really makes me convinced that the characters are more than just good friends.

You Will Love It - Or Hate It!

This is the first review that I have written where I want to express my opinion in more depth than I usually do, so PLEASE DON'T READ PAST THE SECTION OF MY REVIEW FLAGGED SPOILERS IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE SERIES.

BL or LGBTQ?? Is there a difference, I think there is... this show is flagged as 21+ and is not Boys Love!! I don't think it sets a new standard for BL because there will always be an audience for cute, funny, emotional, romantic, with a little drama featuring young adults. This show does NOT fit that category at all.

If you are offended by shows with toxicity, this show is not for you - it's toxic from beginning to end. Adult subject matter, like most movies and shows for mature audiences. Whie this show is not a hard core action, thriller, or even realistic mafia (in my opinion), it does have a great deal of explicit sex, glorified rape, murder, sadistic torture, etc.

Was it a good show? It started out pretty good, but I think it went downhill after the two guys became a couple. The storyline went from good to cheesy for the main couple and the storyline for a secondary couple was just too violent for me.

While there were some scenes I didn't like, I did enjoy this series, and the acting, directing, cinematography, music, everything was high quality!

The actors were really some of the best I have seen, you can tell they put everything they had into each episode. I definitely liked the storyline for Kinn and Porsche (but not the actors, unfortunately) - the dynamics were awesome, to see the various challenges they faced, seeing Kinn as a human being and not just a mob boss, seeing Porsche in love, but not being able to fully trust anyone, there was a lot happening between them. I think the two actors were not appealing to me, but that is personal, I am sure a lot of viewers would disagree

The two brothers - what happened? I liked their story and would have liked to see more of them, but then, what happened? The ending was not really an ending - it was more like a cliffhanger.

SPOILER ALERT!! Don't read if you haven't watched.

Toxicity is one thing but falling in love with someone who practically kills you more than once, just doesn't sit well with me. The second couple thing, I just wasn't feeling it - and I could not feel sorry for Vegas even when he was most pitiable - for me he was nothing short of a monster, and Pete deserved so much better. It was also unrealistic that Kinn didn't think there was anything strange about him disappearing the way Pete just suddenly vanishes without a trace.

The date night, farting under the covers, and other stupid scenes took away from the show.
I would have preferred more screen time for the third and youngest couple, and I didn't like the ending for them, which didn't make any sense at all - why the song? Also, why did I feel like Porsche had no interest in what was going on with his brother that he didn't know Porchay didn't enroll in school and was heartbroken?
Putting the mother in at the end - what was the point? It didn't add anything to the story, in fact I think it was kind of contradictory to the ending.
Porsche who decides he's all in with the whole mafia thing, despite his brother not wanting him to be and his mother being the way she ended up and his father dying because of the mafia? This did not sit well with me.

Rushed and Too Simplistic

Rewatch Value - Zero.

While all of these actors have great potential and better series, this one is a bust. The stories were too simplistic, some were downright stupid. There was no time in any of these for any type of plot or character development, let alone any real romance. The first story had potential, but was unable to express it properly because it was short and rushed and left a lot of questions unanswered and an unrealistic ending. The rest of the stories were just bad.

It's sad to see wasted talent, even if these actors were new and needed practice, they wouldn't get it here because there was really nothing to work with and no chemistry to be found anywhere. And the cat episode... just too unrealistic - was it a cat or a human?

Cheesy, Slow & Stupid

The biggest problem with this series is that nothing ever happened! The few times an attempt was made at some type of drama it simply fell flat.
The actors may have been good, I can't really say, because they were not given much to work with. I didn't feel any real chemistry between them and the love making scene was slow and awkward - with the worst ever music, I think they tried to use the music to make it more passionate, but it really made the scene worse.
There was no note worthy music throughout, the child actress was not really cute and appealing... but...
The worst was simply a poorly written, overused ideas script.
I also personally did not really care for one of the main leads, personal preference, you know.
The secondary couple was also very weak, with nothing really happening, and drama was over some old clothes that got donated... really?
No rewatch value for me, I barely made it through the first time.

Short Series - Pretty Deep Storyline

This was a short series of five episodes.

The series runs pretty much like the synopsis. There are some things that could have been explained better and some things you will feel they left hanging, but the filming is really clear and the main actor is very convincing, I felt his pain and understood him. Unfortunately, he was a really good guy surrounded by mostly selfish people. He was young, so he was learning some lessons in life that can be quite painful. We don't get to see his future, and that made me a bit sad.
The only thing I rated low was the rewatch value - a continuation of his story would be better.

Just A Really Good Series

I liked this show a lot. I am sure I will rewatch someday.

This show may not be everyone's cup of tea.. you might view the one boyfriend as weak and spoiled, however, after watching a few episodes, he began to grow on me. After several episodes about his life and again towards the end of the series, we find out why he behaves the way he does, which made me love him, feel sorry for him, and understand him. A good actor.

The other male lead is a very good actor as well. He is the exact opposite of his boyfriend, which makes them seem like an unlikely couple, but even in real life couples often seem mismatched.

The story is long and that's good because it takes a while to put all the pieces together. The Basketball Scenes are also well done.

What I really could not get into were the scenes that were supposed to be steamy - they were overplayed and fake. Some of the just kissing scenes were better.

Give it a watch!

An Awesome Show!

I really enjoyed this show and will watch it again in the future.

I am a huge fan of BL Series, but not so much the high school or college ones where everything is a joke, the annoying characters who want to "ship" couples and run around taking photos for posting online, the evil or jealous girlfriend wannabe, etc. I like the ones like this one, a little more mature, still has funny, sweet, cute moments, but also has a more serious side too.

I also like the sensuality in the intimate scenes, which this series has in abundance. These are the moments when you feel a sense of real-life intimacy, love and intense emotion.

Was the show perfect? No! I haven't watched one yet that didn't have some little thing I could pick on. That's true with most series, bl or otherwise.

I'm reading the comments in these low ratings reviews and all I can think is the people watching this series really do not have an understanding of bl series. First of all, IT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO BE REAL LIFE! I sincerely dislike reviews that put down these shows because they are "toxic" or portray things that "just aren't right." BL has always had problematic and toxic tropes, even if it's just guys ganging up on and beating the guy who they don't like!

SPOILER ALERT!

The not so charming scene is one where the younger boy gets his love interest drunk and takes advantage of him - however this was not r*pe! The low ratings and reviews that slam this show because of this scene are not understanding a few things. First, the younger guy made sure the older one knew who he was with - the guy was not so drunk as to not recognize him, he knew who it was and even carried on a short conversation with him. Second, someone so drunk that they do not know what is happening to them would never have responded the way he did. Truth be told he just wasn't willing to face the fact that he wanted him too. And again, not real life!

This show is very cute, sweet, hot, and will keep you interested.

Difficult To Watch

Ok, So I don't like spoilers so I try to be careful in my reviews
Episode 1-5 - Honestly, this first five episodes which make up the first story was really difficult for me to watch.

This is not a lighthearted story. For me, it was too sad pretty much all the way through. I can't say it was realistic, because I really don't know how the industry works, but I kind of feel that some parts may have been realistic, some were probably not... like the comments that the supposed viewers were leaving - I don't see comments like those on any bl shows and reviews - most viewers comments are not so hateful as these were.

The last part of the fifth episode was probably the most unrealistic part of this story - I don't want to say more, but I will be interested to see if other reviewers feel the same.

The acting was top notch. Nott and Pan (Billy & Seng) were a couple in Secret Crush On You (as Toh & Nuea)- and they have amazing chemistry. Toh was extremely nerdy in that series, it was interesting to see him act as a different character in this series.

I watched this on Gagaoolala - the subtitles were all there, but to read the supposed viewers texts was almost impossible because they flipped on and off the screen way too fast.

I can't give the show a bad rating because it's professional and the acting is top notch, but I can say I probably won't ever rewatch this first part.

Too Short, A Few Good Scenes

Japanese Series don't have a lot of Excitement, Anticipation, Laughter, or Background of Characters.

For me, they always seem to miss the mark in pulling me thoroughly into the story and giving me a reason to fall in love with the characters. Successful Short Series are really rare and honestly, if the story is well done then I want to see more, not less.

This series left so much unsaid and unfinished; I just did not feel the warmth or the love. The best moments were when they displayed jealousy, in some instances without even realizing that's what they were doing.

I personally do not like the way the series had such a depressing, dark tone to it, with dark alleys and crappy rooms, which also seems to be the norm with Japanese series.

This show has no rewatch value for me. Other reviews are more positive than mine, so give it a try, at least it won't take up much of your time.
