I actually find the way the story quickly deals with its antagonists refreshing. At the same time, it allows its mysteries and reveals to unfold at a measured pace without ever losing momentum. I never feel the urge to skip ahead, and I'm genuinely excited to see what happens next.
I also love how evenly matched the two leads are intellectually. They're both terrifyingly intelligent, and even though they're only circling each other for now, it's easy to see the makings of a truly formidable power couple.
