*sigh*

Well... I must admit that all the excitement and expectations I had for this drama are beginning to falter. I understand that the flashbacks are important to the drama, but the writers are taking too long to get to the present and it's making it quite boring. I wouldn't be complaining if these flashbacks were interesting, but they're really not —the interesting parts only start appearing near the end (for the cliffhangers, I guess), and the writers drag the rest of the scenes, which, if they were written in a faster pace, wouldn't bore viewers and actually keep them on edge. There are some slow-paced stories that are good, but this one's not making the cut, perhaps because the clichés aren't being that well executed and a lot of scenes are rather ridiculous and over-the-top. I cannot complain about the acting, though, or the characters. I'm getting to know them better, and that's always a plus! The empathy I have for them is what encourages me to keep watching.

Thank you, Fangirl Instincts!

I was not impressed by the synopsis and I'd read somewhere that people hadn't liked this first episode, so the only thing that drove me to still give it a chance were the main actors (love Suzy, adore my Woo Bin). I'm glad I followed my fangirl instinct because this episode proved a wonderful drama-watching experience! There were some rocks in the way (like a mega cliche and slightly wooden acting), but the story/characters kept me going. It's a perfect introductory episode, because it pulls you into empathising with the characters and the story without revealing too much -it leaves you wanting more! (a slight warning: the pacing isn't exactly fast, but personally, I didn't notice it). Here's to hoping that the previously-mentioned mega cliche doesn't end up ruining what could be a a nice drama-watching experience and a perfect ending...

Call Me a Fan, MyDramaListers

What a promising start! From the very first five minutes of this drama, I was already hooked and living the story through the characters. Oh Yeon Joo is, so far, definitely the kind of lead I would root for: she may be considered an underdog, but I don't see any trace of a lady-in-distress in her. And as a plus, Han Hyo Joo absolutely nailed her character! Kang Chul is still just a webtoon character for me, but I'm sure that as the drama progresses, he will become more than that. The story is amazing as well! There are many unique ideas in the world, but there are not so many that are executed as brilliantly as this one; the production team, the writer, and the actors all worked together to form one of the best first episodes I've seen in a while. My only complaint is that, due to the order the events were shown in, I was confused and wasn't sure about the direction of this drama... however, it was all eventually fixed. W, I came in with high expectations, and I received even more; I take my hat off to you. Before I sign out, though, I'd like to give a tip for future watchers: you're watching fiction, so don't expect anything (not even details) to be realistic according to our world; let yourself be submerged into the world of this drama... ;)

And the plot thickens...

I'm pleased to say that it gets better and better... this episode gave us viewers the chance to get to know our characters much better. It gave us a huge glimpse into their lives, their worries, and their aspirations without making it feel like a filler episode. The acting improved, and I felt that the pacing got faster and the gasp-worthy moments increased, so that's a plus for some. This episode definitely managed to pull me in -even more than the last. I'm definitely living the story through the main characters, but I can't say I'm completely absorbed by the story. It has gotten out a few cards (like cliches, time jumps, pacing, etc.) that, if played right, can make a wonderful story, but if played wrong... well...
