Satisfying ending but wtf happened to Seon MiJin? Pretty amazing job for a webdrama. Addresses the nuances and effect of lookism much better than other dramas with similar plots or premises.
Iâm sorry but your reasonings for rating this drama a 1 seem really nitpicky and donât make sense imo. Especially the first and fourth one. And how would Jinsung be a pervert if the video was actually raunchy when it was Genie who asked for him to send it? Itâs not like he sent one unsolicited. You must be young or very religious or both. No one âdeservesâ to have private messages leaked especially if it involves their own body. Dal Giâs acting was intentionally exaggerated not because of comedic effect (Idk why you would think that since nothing about this webdrama is comedy or comedic) but because Koo AeJin is supposed to be a weird/strange, socially inept, and awkward girl. At least this one showed Koo AeJin finally loving herself and exposing the real her herself unlike true beauty where FL was forcefully exposed and only after that (which was like 14 long ass episodes) did she start âloving herselfâ.
Actually stylist is doing a very good job fits are significant and cool af
But the difference is that in the Devil Wears Prada they didnât look like caricatures and stock characters. The other characters arenât dressed âridiculouslyâ per se but again just follow lazy overdone tropes like bad boy w man bun wears leather. Also that still doesnât explain the middle school homecoming styling of the supposedly elite exclusive party. If it was meant to represent a Roman colosseum wouldnât it make more sense for him to resemble the Roman elite that hosted those events and reviled in the gory entertainment instead of the beasts that were forced to participate in those events? Anyways, again this is all just inconsequential stuff so itâs not like it really matters, I just commented that half jokingly because itâs a pet peeve of mine as I mentioned.

The outfits are tacky as all hell. You would think these rich kids today would follow the high fashion trends of today but instead theyâre dressed a lot like their Korean version counterparts from 2009 and like rich stock characters from that era too. And those dresses at the party was like time traveling to the early 2010s. Being rich might have meant fur tiger print coats 20 years ago but that just looks tasteless and tacky today. Iâve seen my grand uncle wear those sparkly shoes from episode 1 to church. What teenager would wear something like that, at school no lessđ Thereâs a way to look cheesily rich (fashion wise) and still follow contemporary trends, like Thymeâs monogram Balenciaga coat in ep 2. thereâs a lot I could say about the lazy styling in this show that relies heavily on outdated ideas of wealth (especially for Thyme) but thatâs just the fashion design student in me talking and itâs inconsequential anyway. Just a pet peeve of mine.
Ew at the whole Kiyoi being a bottom thing yâall canât stop bringing up in the comments. Whats the obsession…
First of all, gross. Second, Wtf are u talking about? Kiyoi isnât a woman he is a man. And this is the issue with you non mlms/queer ppl discussing tops and bottoms. Yâall think âtop = man & bottom = womanâ thatâs not how it works. âEnjoys how her man takes herâ this goes to show your warped view of what sex is. Itâs not one person taking from another, it is and should be a mutual transaction of pleasure and intimacy. Your viewpoint also has very misogynistic undertones. Not to mention that in the drama there is no mention of their positions, yâall are just making that assumption because of a few scenes in the end and your own stereotypes about what bottoms are like and what tops are like. Yâall have been brainwashed and convinced yourself that gay people actually follow that seme/uke dynamic thatâs actually just veiled heteronormativity. Come back to reality.
I liked the ending. probably the best part of the show and NO not because it ended but because we finally got…

I liked the ending. probably the best part of the show and NO not because it ended but because we finally got to see their real relationship chemistry and it was so cute but sadly it didnât last long. Also I love their acting especially Kiyoi
Why is Ga Jin so reckless and stupid sometimes? I hate it when dramas do this. They have a strong, cunning, and independent female character who just gets dumber and dumber and more âprincess in distressâ-y as the story continues. I find myself yelling at the screen so many times in this show. On dal is reckless and stupid as well but it makes sense for his personality.
exactly, this is what i have been looking for in a drama!for example, with the main court lady:she WAS annoying…
That scene was amazing I had goosebumps and I definitely agree. I think she did have selfish reasons like @jjlew mentioned but I also think the whole thing about her wanting to protect the court ladies under her care was not a lie and she truly did care for them.
A lot of people are saying very spoiler-y things in the comments about the end of the drama and not clicking the spoiler warning button for some reason⌠anyone who hasnât read the novel (like me) be careful while scrolling in the comments.
The depth of each character in this show is so refreshing to see. Finally no unnecessarily evil antagonists or one that is evil for shallow/stupid reasons. Honestly there really isnât any âantagonistâ. Everyone has their own reason for doing what they do and those reasons make sense. Iâm really loving this drama. Anyone who is still questioning whether they should watch this or not, give it a try!
