Honestly as someone growing up with familial trauma, I can easily say everyone’s acceptance and making peace with it are SO DIFFERENT. Solar had been working so hard to understand and for a long while I think he just wanted answers. I don’t agree with people saying “it resolved to quickly” because to be honest the entire series has been a work in progress of him accepting his trauma. He’s also grown as matured as Solar so I think it’s natural that he learns to understand his parents intentions. The father’s intentions were questionable and yeah I think it may have resolved quickly but I truly think at that point, Solar wanted him in his life. His mother wanted the family to stay together and he knew that’s what would make her happy. I think it makes a lot of sense that his trauma was relieved by all of this in some way. His father’s guilt was explained. While maybe his intentions were misplaced, he truly did what he thought would help. Not everything is cut and dry with this. So I think Solar understood that and gave his family grace. As well as Sun did. It may be quick but it’s a certain persons experience, there is not timeline on acceptance of trauma and guilt. I think the show did a good job of showing the emotional vulnerability as well as stellar acting.
