i prefer gritty fight scenes as well but i really enjoy luo yunxi bringing his dancing talent to
the show because i mostly see that on the female side rather than male. it’s nice to see a male that’s get be more elegant and fairy-like.

no it’s not a romance drama and there isn’t even a true couple otherwise romance would be in the tags. other wuxia dramas which has small romance side plots get tagged with romance but this one didn’t. neither did mysterious lotus casebook.

Let her do her thing. Maybe she can get romance fans to give a non-romance drama like this one a chance by spreading her agenda.

I don't think she is in the way. It's not like they are together and he does not show any interest in anything besides his past & his senior brothers. I think we should avoid these kinds of comments because it acts as fuel for people to attack non-romance enjoyers and even worse go after people who enjoy queer or queer-coded content with their homophobia.

Most dramas with a martial arts/journey/adventure kind of theme are not good at executing romance as a side plot. Romance needs time to develop so when it's just thrown in there to fill the quota it is usually poorly written or feels forced. There is a lot of plot already and taking up time for a mediocre romance subplot detracts from the world-building. Not every story needs to contain romance. Some stories capture a part of life where a character is single or focus on the many other types of human relationships that exist outside of having a partner.

Tang Lici just has so much main character energy. LYX said this drama is a milestone for him as an actor. I'm so happy for him!!

mango released 3 episodes today but won't have any for the weekend. everywhere else gets 1 episode per day so by monday everyone will be on the same episode. 1 episode monday - wednesday for everyone then back to 2 episodes per day.

there are a lot of characters and scheming in the show but tang lici has his crew which includes chi yun and shen langhun. there are other friends who are with the group intermittently including zhong chunji, ah shui and gu xitan. the main antagonist group is fengliu shop which includes liu yan, miss hong, xifang tao and the leader who we just met gu mudan. there are also other factions that may or may not be on tang lici’s side depending on their own view. we meet new sect members every few episodes as well, sometimes on the “good” side sometimes working with “evil” side. it all depends.

the drama started airing on streaming platforms first but now the cable tv broadcast has start so they are probably letting the tv schedule catch up with the online schedule. it’s back to 2 episodes per day on november 6

Most likely it's to let the TV broadcast catch up with the online broadcast.

I would hope there is some catch to how flat her affect is throughout the show. I think spy is correct given the conversation between the villains in ep 14. But even then if she's hiding something, I would expect some more conflicted expressions from her. We mostly just see her look sad and cry. Maybe her character is about depression. And I'm not even joking because I have no idea why she takes up screen-time with zero expression on her face when not crying.

It was like CPR. Tang Lici was unconscious the whole time.
