This time travel/parallel universe drama started badly, the FL lead's character seems annoyingly distracting at first. I would have dropped it at episode 1 but I'm a fan of Li Hongyi so I continued to watch it.

I found that was not the case later on. The FL was sensible, smart, patient and cute in interacting with the ML. I normally don't like older women-younger men relationship stories but I find their interactions to be amazing and funny until I was rooting for the FL and ML .

Less points for the ending. Though it's a happy one, a lot of details seemed overlooked...

Best Roles for Main Leads

I love the male lead---He's loyal, frank, kindhearted, egoist yet humble, and very humorous. I also love the female lead--- she's mysterious, strong, smart and yet so feminine.

I also loved the relationship between them. Wherein in other dramas, a third party or circumstances could tear them apart, this couple maintained their cool and tried to understand the other one instead of getting angry and sulking.

The only catch is that ending, seems like there's a need for season 2.?

I started to watch it but dropped because I got bored...but I was encouraged to watch it till the end to appreciate it, however...

Main Leads seem only to be infatuated with each other, not really love. The male lead is cool, smart handsome but there's really no depth to His character. He was always in control of everything.

The female lead was supposed to be smart but it's not really manifested in the series. She simply let the male lead do everything. It seems that she went with the guy because of the glamour of having a popular boyfriend...

The rest of the characters are mostly gossipers and their lives and emotions are confined in the gaming world. (Making a big deal of superficial friendships, marriages and divorces..)

They leads were good looking though...

sweet indeed but not so interesting for me

Leo Luo and Bai Lu's acting was great. However, there's really nothing unique or special about the story.

It's the typical seeming cold hearted powerful male lead loving a kindhearted female lead.

There's also a sidekick best friend and second male lead that fell in love with each other.

I fast forwarded most of the latter episodes because the story was getting predictable especially the last one.
There's also the 'accidental kiss' that happened about twice.
Watch this if you want unwind from stress.

Light and Sweet

The plot of this series is not so complicated. But its story is unusual (where the evil guy is the main lead). I loved the acting of Li Hongyi and Zhao Lusi. Also appreciated the characters of Qin Liufeng and Feng Caicai.
Of course there are some events that are not the same as the actual novel, but it does follow the storyline.

I hope there's a season 2 for this one or that Li hongyi and Zhao Lusi would have another series together!!! :)

I also love the opening and closing theme song.

No boring Episode Smart Funny Leads and Great Supporting Casts

From the start, this drama is so captivating. I love the couple, and how they have misunderstandings that don't drag for the entire drama. The leads are funny and romantic, and it's even charming when they bicker.

Their right hand men are also hilarious. Even the antagonists are not so despicable. I love the twists of the story in every episode. Lusi's costumes enhanced her cuteness in the drama. Plus, she's not a dumb female lead here (yehey!). There isn't a boring episode in this drama.

The only downside of this series, is that the ending scene was too short that you don't have enough time to bask it in. Could have done with just another episode of their cuteness.

The start of this series was very thrilling, a martially adept, witty, and brave girl brought into a hostile kingdom with internal chaos. The first episode was a thriller. Then there's a cold man who is also a skilled fighter secretly caring for her and also charming prince protecting and chasing after the female lead.

What made me want to drop this is that there's too much unnecessary scenes. And the plotting of the maids seem to be endless each episode.
There's no connection between the male and female leads...

And her sisters too annoying.

I'm getting tired of of it ....=( Hope it gets better...

This is for those who dislike the silliness of stereotype highschool dramas.

I'm really amazed by how much I've learned from this drama. It portrays the emotional conflicts and insecurities that we carry even as adults in real life.

The male lead was my favorite character. He Xinliang was so positive and selfless all throughout this show. He placed the desires and happiness of his loved ones above his own. Most of the time, his gestures are not even appreciated by the female lead but he kept on giving even when he is tired.

The rest of the casts were also lovable though understandably a bit immature or misunderstood.

Even though this drama didn't focus on romance, it can touch your heart with what friendship, sisterhood and what real love is. I cried at its beautiful ending.

Please watch this to appreciate...☺️

I'm a fan of Zhao Lusi and I tried to finish this series ..I think this series is okay but too typical of a costume period drama.

Another thing is that the role they had for Lusi in this series was a bit annoying. (gets into trouble, cold and ungrateful to the people who tries to protect her ?) 2/3 of the drama she's focused on avenging her people regardless of the lives she could hurt to achieve it. I'm glad she made a turn towards the near end.

Most of the cons are mentioned in the previous reviews so I won't go through it here. But it's not the kind of series that I would rewatch....

Potentially Good Series however...

I love how the story started off, I love when Vin and Ariel were together, bickering or loving each other.

I just wish that the writer could have expounded more on the role of the Divine Maiden. Seems like the DM sole purpose is to die to make some rich.

Then there's the ending. Tadah! Seems like the author didn't know what to do with all the characters so he/she killed almost all of them all off in the end.

Overall, for Vin Zhang and Ariel Lin, I still enjoyed this series...

The series started of as interesting. The girl was lively and headstrong. I love her innocent relationship with her adoptive 'brother' Tao Lun.

However, as the drama progresses, it shifted to different, gloomy mood. I'm not really into big-time identity theft stories. The Male Lead's mom was too annoying and selfish and forces her ambition on her son. The Main couple's love story was boring and serious. Male Lead seems to be stuck in a miserable childhood past and a lonely present that was dragged on into their relationship. Female lead became too anxious and lost the charm she had on the first 3 episodes.

The only exciting part of this drama is the love story development of the second lead couple who seem to handle downturns in life with a sense of humor.

I wached it because I was a fan of Zhang Zhehan and Riley Wang and I think their acting were still great in this series.
