replying to this so late haha but yeah i don’t mind hearing you explain what your interpretation was, nothing wrong with differing opinions! i haven’t read the book either and i’m really just going off of this singular portrayal of yeewah. it’s a bit different from the first love mechanics and like i said i really liked her character there but here it’s just a bit too much for me i guess. i’m just hoping she gets better in the last few episodes because i miss liking yeewah lmao

you gonna tell me they gave an entire special episode to the main dudes ex are you kidding me- we barely got HALF an episode in the series to see yu zhen and shi lei as a couple and then the special episode doesn’t even focus on them im- upset but not surprised. shoulda dedicated the entire thing to the side couple tbh

the best part about this series was the second couple they absolutely carried this for me. though even with them i kept putting this off for weeks at a time. i found myself rather bored throughout most of it and watched almost every episode at 2x speed lmao. the chemistry between all four of the main leads was great though even if the plot wasn’t.

it is unrealistic for every character to act the right way theres always characters that do stupid things and act in the wrong way. i’m just pointing out that in my opinion yeewah is one of them and it kinda disappointed me because she was one of my favorite characters in the first love mechanics. also yeah vee mark and nuea all accepted her doing that but for me that was also a little unrealistic, like not one person had something to say about her butting in and making people uncomfortable? unrealistic for me. but everyone is different and everyone has different ideas on what is okay for best friends to do so it is what it is, i just personally didn’t like it.

fair enough, everyone has different types of boundaries. and bar and yeewah definitely deal with things differently but that was my point, she dealt with it in a way that caused discomfort to the very friends she was trying to help and i just don't agree with that. it felt like she was overstepping a LOT

im sorry but if any of my best friends acted like she did i would have to have some serious words with them. it wasn't really her place to put him through all of that even if she was trying to get him to open up about his feelings. not to mention that it inadvertently made mark uncomfortable too. it's a complicated situation and vee and mark should be allowed to figure it out without interference from their friends unless they ask for it. i get that she had good intentions, i already said that but i personally think she went about it in a way that caused more issues than necessary. she could have done it the way bar and his bf did if she really felt the need to do something.

also what is UP with nuea’s hairstyle like he legit looks like mordecai from the regular show and i can’t handle it

okay but yeewah really pisses me off this time around. she’s so damn nosy all the time. and the constantly pushing mark and nuea together while being aware that theres something between vee and mark is just gross none of this is your business go away. and who tf smiles like that when they see their friend upset???? i get that she doesn’t want to see mark get hurt or looked down on but gd honey you went about that wrong. i wish all of their friends were like bar and his bf lmao they’re the only mature ones. then there’s nuea making mark uncomfortable all the damn time even tho he’s turned him down smh he’s so annoying can we just give him his Praram so he can move on. at least it seems like this will be the last episode he’s like that tho thank god.

i love this, i’ve rewatched it a few times and i still hate that bod disappears so quickly he was like an instant favorite.

wasn't bad, had its cute moments. i do have to say that out of all the taiwanese bls ive seen this one just didn't hit the mark like they usually do.

i thought 1-3 and 7 were good. the rest were just okay. you should watch the movie version of 13 though its pretty good. this shortened version didn't do the story justice.

i have too many thoughts on this movie i don't even know where to start but i really do recommend giving this a try, it's a bit slow at first and it's the type of movie that you actually have to use your brain for in order to fully grasp everything they're trying to say. as people have already said, the title is significant, and i'm glad i took the time to google it. it basically refers to twilight, and the movie really uses the blueish atmosphere to its advantage, its equal parts dreamy and nightmarish. i love love love atmospheric, slow burn horror films and while this barely slips into the horror category i'd still call it one. it's a slow burn story that reveals things little by little and by the end its unveiled an entirely different story than what you thought you were getting into.

this show is mad slept on it was so good- the cinematography, the acting, the tense atmosphere, the changing of pov, the pacing of how you find out what tf happened, the way you think one person is at fault at the end of one episode but then by the end of the next you think its someone different- ugh. its all just so good.

gonna start by saying i didn't expect to like this, especially after the first episode it felt cringey and just not great but i stuck with it because jayler. and also james ever since skate our souls i've wanted to see more of him. was really cute to see captain again too i almost didn't recognize him. but anyway im glad i stuck it out because i really ended up liking it. i don't consider it a bl first off but i thought the concept and the overarching message of love has no gender was really well done. i fell for all of the characters except vier- i cannot stand that man. from the very first episode he said some really crappy things and his character just kept getting worse and worse. trying to make us sympathize with him over his daddy issues didn't work, he was still just a crappy person to everyone around him even if he tried to redeem himself at the last second. mans got a lot of things to work through lmao. but other than vier this show was really cute and i really would watch a second season if that were a thing.

honestly this wasn't AS horrible as the comments made it seem imo. it wasn't all that good either tho cant lie. i have to say the majority of the lukmo simai plot pissed me right tf off. like what was the actual point of spending basically the entire second half of the show letting simai believe they're brothers and never clearing it up?? i just----- i cannot fathom what the writers or anyone involved with this were thinking letting that go on so long. especially because simai is adorable and very quickly became my favorite and their whole workplace relationship development was cute. but the rest was so unnecessary which made his moving away also hella unnecessary. probably one of the stupidest plot points ive ever seen in anything ever and that dad is absolute garbage. but other than that the rest was just okay. definitely not anything higher than a 6/10 but the cast are a bunch of cuties so i dragged myself through it for them.

honestly i liked it. i put this off for a hot minute because the majority of people seemed to have disliked it but i wish i hadn’t. i mean is it objectively good? not really. but it’s enjoyable. it’s suuuper messy but pretty realistic in that aspect. high school relationships and friendships can be messy and confusing af. i feel like it needed to be at least a few episodes longer partly because it ended pretty abruptly but mostly cause i wanted to see more of matt and junho and that lil cameo mew made at the last second as the swim coach.

not great but not bad, it’s a low budget series with a cute gay couple but i wouldn’t call it a bl, they’re just a couple in a show focused on something else and i liked that tbh. i like a series now and then where a gay couple is just there and it isn’t a big deal. also i wouldn’t call the ‘immortal’ people here vampires because as far as i could tell there was no blood drinking lmao. it’s a short easy watch that isn’t too complicated or substantial. i liked the friendship that was developing between the four of them tho. overall i thought it was decent. my biggest dislike was the acting from almost everyone that wasn’t the main four- it was stilted and weird and awkward. but the styling???? a+ my dudes they all looked so good.
