You guys don't understand that the point of this show is to show people that there is hope for you. That religion and queerness can coexist and that no love is a sin as long as it's pure (pure including lgbtq+ relationships). You guys claim the director played it too "safe" because the ending wasn't tragic but majority of bl's/ queer media has been. If you want somethibg tragic so badly watch Night Flight or Your Name Engraved Herein which are both amazing as well.
Also no shade but to the people in these comments shaming people for liking this show, can we not be disrespectful? I totally agree that everyone should be allowed to voice their opinions but can you at least do it in your own comment and not just as a response to invalidate someone elses feelings without even giving a good reason as to why you don't like it. I know i sound super woke but I think its just being respectful but who cares because people have no morals when it comes to the internet.
Anyways, I just want to say that just because you didn't get the message of this story and don't see what others find in this, it doesn't make it okay to disrespect the actors, storyline, director, and others. The idea of religion and Christianity is pure, how people choose to share and practice is separate. I apologize to all the people who have been wronged and mislead about what Christianity truly is. Everyone is free to make their own decisions and choose their own path so make sure to cherish it.
