It couldn’t of been any better.

I really love this drama from the cast to the plot, the soundtrack, the comedy, the fluffiness, and the leads. I can’t think of anything that I wish they would’ve done different or better. I truly loved it just as it was. I’m so sad it’s over, but pleased that we got this beautiful show.

Well, I liked it from episode one a few people have mentioned that it’s a show that really grows on you as you watch it and as you start to care about the characters and I could see that. Because in the first episode you’re like OK where is this going? But as you sit and watch you like oh I like where this is going this is actually very very cute..

The ending was exactly what I wanted it to be and I’m so happy that they ended it and flushed out all the stories and didn’t leave us hanging with open question marks. Nice job writers!

I have no doubt that more people will watch it and fall in love with it because it is really a hidden gym right now and I can see it being ranked videos of the year definitely and of the last few years likely.

Give it a watch, watch the first two episodes and I’m pretty sure that you will be hooked and wanting to know what happens.

Sweetness overload!

I wish that the drama was longer because it was really good and very sweet. I enjoyed the couple. I enjoyed the storyline, and I even enjoyed the ending. Right now my heart is full and I have the biggest smile on my face. I truly just love these two actors together and they’re chemistry was great.

It’s a short watch, so I really encourage you to check it out. You won’t regret it definitely I wish the show would be remade to be a longer drama maybe a producer somewhere else will pick it up in Thailand or Taiwan or somewhere and a create this, because it was truly a beautiful story.

In my top 10 favorite shows of all time!

I previously reviewed the drama and I rated at 10 out of 10 but I watched it again and it still has a 10 writing but I’d like to expand upon why.

Normally, I’m not a huge friends to lovers trope kind of gal, but Earth and Santa killed me with this drama just killed me. From the very beginning, we get a really good understanding of the relationship with one another and just how close they really are to each other having grown up next-door, and been best friend their entire lives. I think the way they depict friendship is really beautiful. How you can love someone in ways that they may be can’t love themselves, and even though Cake was much more outgoing and had more friends he never treated. See-Eiw as less then, and just respected the boundaries that See-Eiw had said even though he wanted to push him to be a bit more outgoing, and I totally see that in friendships in real life.

I love the way that the drama depicted see you, realizing that he’s gay and that he’s in love with cake and it wasn’t just like he woke up one day and was like oh man I’m in love with my best friend, he saw a drama and recognized the commonalities between his friendship, and what he saw that drama and I I feel like that’s so realistic, especially if you don’t have people who are gay in your life that you can cannot compare yourself to or recognize attributes of yourself within. Also round of applause for his sister being supportive of him in that realization because the show was set in like the early 2000s and so it wasn’t as LGBTQIA friendly then as it is now.

I thought them depicting Cake in his family, leaving and the reaction of see you when they did was so incredibly heartbreaking but also realistic. I’ve read a lot of reviews and many people talk about how old earth cries too much but you would be bawling your eyes out to if the person that you are in love with who’s been your very best friend for the entire 15 years of your life is leaving. Not to mention this is happening, just after See-Eiw finally comes to terms with his feelings and his sexuality it’s a lot of course he’s crying about it I would too.

Another aspect of the drama, that I like, is how they split the perspectives in the first half of the drama we’re really primarily following see you, and in the second half of the drama were most of the following cake as each of them come to terms with like their feelings for the other. There’s drama shows you that it can be a slow process and scary and messy and involving jealousy as you figure out all these things.

I’m not usually want to cry while watching dramas, but this really touched me in my heart. Maybe it’s because I was once in love with the best friend back in high school and it’s so realistic the way that I felt in the way that they depicted this in this drama or maybe it’s just because the actors are amazing.

I didn’t love the last episode, but it is what it is and it does not take away from the rest of the drama for me. Definitely in the top 10 best shows from any country that I’ve ever seen in my life. Great job studio, Wabi Sabi just great job!

Top-tier to drama top-tier BL.

This is a drama that I absolutely loved the first time I saw it I’m a huge Off/Gun so I’ve seen every drama that they’ve done together and I like them all. So going into this one I was super excited and I knew that I would love it, but I was not prepared for just how much I truly did love the drama. It’s rare that we get a BL that’s not all fluff in. This one was really intense and there was so much drama and you really were on the edge of your seat for some of these episodes and I loved that on top of being able to see you know the characters, Sean, and pretend black fall in love with each other. I thought the messaging around just is and really going for these people who are trying to control society was cool cause I think a lot of people can relate to the the want for justice in the larger societies and how hard it is when that’s not there, so totally relate it to all of the characters and I understood there motivation for why they were doing what they were doing.

I also really like that the drama had commentary on same-sex marriage and the legality of that within Thailand in the push to make it so. I think in recent years they’ve been more BLs that I’ve really been pushing for same-sex marriages to become legal and I am here for it.

We already know that Gun is an amazing actor, but I think he really outdid himself in the two roles that he had in this drama you could very clearly distinguish white from black in his voice and his facial expressions. The way he carried his posture it was really a master class on how to do this type of role when it’s one actor playing two different characters and I have not seen another actor do it as well. Usually in Off/Gun dramas, I would gravitate more towards gun in the role that he was playing but I really love what off did in this drama in the way that he portrayed Sean love it.

Another really cool aspect that I liked about the drama is that none characters really went through that phase of like questioning your sexuality when they realize they were falling in love with each other I think they both were just like hey, we like each other let’s not pretend that we don’t and I am here for it..

I want to take a minute to talk about the music in this drama because I think that’s an important part to really set the stage of the emotions that are being depicted on the screen and they had some excellent songs in this drama. Understand by Roza it’s such a beautiful, heartbreaking song and was used perfectly in the show that I have not stopped listening to it since I heard it on the show great job with that song choice and the other song choices as well.

This is the drama that I’ve been able to watch repeatedly, and still love it as much as I loved it the very first time I saw it. I doubt that another BL will ever top this one in my book. I think I want people to try to type it, but I don’t know how they could. It was just lovely in every aspect and I’m so happy that I ventured over into this land of Thai dramas such that I was able to watch it.

One of the best Thai dramas.

I really enjoyed pretty much everything about this drama. I love the enemies to lovers trope. It’s my favorite to watch and to read about so I was super pumped to watch this because it is that enemies to lovers in a BL. Both leads are excellent characters and their chemistry is unmatched. I think they really did a great job of making them complex individuals as well like we really got to understand both of them and their families, their backgrounds, and how they feel about all of the family drama that exists. I also loved the secondary couple. It’s rare that we get a GL as a secondary couple and a boy and a BL but I enjoyed seeing this and I can’t wait to see those actresses in their next role that they play together, so super excited.

I thought that the show was funny when it needed to be serious when it need to be I cried on certain episodes the kiss that When they finally confess their feelings was just absolutely beautiful it was a wonderful moment. I also really enjoyed that. They weren’t ashamed to be in love with each other when their friends found out about the relationship they didn’t lie about it they didn’t try to hide it they were just like hey it is what it is and their biggest concern was truly their families.

Also, I love their friend groups even though both groups or warn against each other I thought that they complemented the leads really well and I thought that they were funny and I would be happy to join really either of the friend groups if I had the opportunity to so great job on the ensemble, casting of all of those characters and the writing for a really depicting that type of friendship.

Of course the whole family drama was super immature. I mean the reasons why the parents didn’t like each other was really dumb and I think at some point they needed to just get over it and it’s been long enough like 20 years since the event happened so you think that they were just I don’t know move on with their lives they didn’t, and ended up making their sons lives miserable, but if we didn’t have that we wouldn’t have this wonderful drama.

Lastly, I thought the music in the drama was really really great and it’s definitely that sound tractors on rotation. It has been since I first watched this drama over a year ago so big props for you know the music team that I found those signs because I thought they did a really good job of depicting the emotions that the characters were going through.

Amazing Soundtrack

I loved the show but it’s been months since I watched and I’ve still been listening to the OST! I feel that the songs they chose did a great job of protesting the characters feelings. Just wanted to say that and encourage you all to support the artists featured on the OST!

My favorite song from the drama is Gift by Chai both the Korean and English versions are excellent. She has such a beautiful voice. It’s been added to my wedding day soundtrack for when that happens, even though I’m super single right now.

One Day It Will Be by Ian Hug and Seoho is also really great too. It’s such a sweet song and both artists have beautiful voices. It’s make me feel like it’s a sunny day!

Each episode was like, pulling teeth to watch!

I originally started watching this drama because I really like Lee Dong Wok and I have watched a bunch of his dramas and generally I enjoy them. I also saw that they were going to make multiple seasons of the drama so I figured that it must be good to warrant it being renewed so much. Man this was not for me I don’t know what I hated the most. I didn’t feel the chemistry between either the lead characters and the show didn’t really give me a reason to be invested into this whole mystery that they’re trying to solve on this island. The only redeeming quality that I enjoyed was the villain of the show and I don’t know if that’s supposed to be the case I had to drop it.
