Not bad but I preferred When the Weather is Fine. There were some parts that were too drawn out. The issue I had was that the male lead was too perfect. He had zero flaws and it made the whole drama too unrealistic esp since it's kind of slice of life and melo rather than romcom.

I did however love the portrayal of the three siblings. It was super adorable and kind of reminded me of my relationship with my siblings. How they would fight and feel hurt but also love and support each other.

I do definitely recommend watching as it is overall a sweet drama to watch.

I know, they really had more chemistry. The female lead was too stiff in all her scenes I felt.

I saw the trailer and read the comments but like you said the ending is just open so I feel like I keep wasting my time watching it because everything they did didn't really make a difference in the long run.

Yeah I really thought I would like it a lot too, but it I was kinda disappointed. Poor script and acting ( on a lot of the other actors). Even the FL was bland and at times her expressions/kiss scenes were so blank I wasn't even sure she was interested in the role.

This drama was entirely carried by the male lead. Lu Jing's passion for his love and fighting for his love is really the only reason to watch this drama. That and the ost is pretty decent. Otherwise I found everyone else's acting/storylines subpar in comparison. Whilst there was nothing wrong with the story, I feel the script was really weak. It wasn't funny enough in the comedic parts, a little too cheesy in some of the romantic parts and it took me 7 episodes to even be interested in the drama.

The writer also really did the second female lead dirty. Instead of feeling sorry for her I was so annoyed with her for being that weak. She gave up years of her life for nothing and put herself and the people around her in misery. I get it, she was hurt but she spent so long being miserable but it went on throughout the entire series so any sympathy you start out with dissipates within a few episodes.

This drama should have been 20 episodes with a tighter script and would have been stronger drama.

I really liked her from the get go but her acting reminded so strongly of Jun Ji Hyun in you who came for the stars, I kept double checking it wasn't the same actress (even though obviously not). But I found her character to really compliment Vincenzo. Their romance was very positively portrayed too, they were both independent yet so supportive of the other.

I agree, it took me towards the last third of the drama for them to be likeable. But once they are, they are really sweet.

Despite a lot of it's shortcoming Vincenzo get a 9/10 from purely because it was so entertaining to watch. It didn't pretend to be preachy or realistic, it didn't pretend that the vigilante ideas could be carried out with clear conscience, but required you to get blood on your hands too. I agree with Vincenzo that "the people who are the least scariest are the ones who only talk about justice but don't actually act".

For those who think that the idea of the guillotine file was absurd, I guarantee you it's not that far out of the realm of reality. A lot of dictators (both tyrants and benevolent) who run countries for decades use this a tactic. They are definitely not doing it for justice, but are doing it as protection for themselves and to always have leverage against their opponents. I know of prime ministers who have had "secret files" on every member of their cabinet, the police, their opposition.

The pros:
-this drama has some really hilarious moments
-the overall acting is really good ESP by Kim Yeo Jin, man I have never hated a female villain more than her. And to think in real life she's really into social justice! Her acting was hands down what kept me hooked- I just needed to see her punished
-the hints of romance was sweet and quite nicely added so as not to distract from the main story
-the action scenes were pretty cool (but would had to see more)
-that ending was everything I wanted for this show

The cons:
-it took me a really long time to actually like the geumga gang. I think only in the last third I began to root for them
- some of the story lines were reaallyyy forced with too much foreshadowing you couldn't help but roll your eyes
- parts of the comedy seem a little forced, but there are also genuinely moments where I was laughing my head off.
-there are a lot of filler scenes you may skip through esp in the middle part of the drama

Finally a lot of the things in drama are completely unrealistic but I put it down to a lot of artistic license because * it is a drama* and not one that ever pretended to be realistic from the get go. I didn't watch it with a "this is a realistic look into the inner workings of the criminal justice system." mindset. Don't go into it with that perception and you will probably love it like most people do.

Thanks for the answer! I was explained this by another friend and so it was as I suspected a language issue. I still wish they would use normal female voices instead of such ridiculous voices that make all the FL in c-dramas seem like little girls (although I have a sneaking suspicion that may also be on purpose as infantalising grown women is done across the board in all media).

A good detective drama that really only picks up after episode 8. The first two episode pull you in but then it really drags till the halfway point. However after that it really gets going and you can't help but binge watch it. Seo Kang Joon was really fantastic in this and really was able to show his acting chops. However the script (in terms of dialogue) was not nearly as good as it could have been.

I might be a little biased but Han Seok Kyu's strength lies in his ability to give thought provoking and moving statements (Dr Romantic) and the writer totally wasted this opportunity. There was too much silence in his role which didn't even fit the vibe of the drama that well. Only towards the end we get to see him get lines he can really work with.

Overall I liked it a lot more than Stranger but it's no where close to Beyond Evil (them being the most recent detective series I have watched). It's right in the middle of those two so if you liked them then definitely give this a try.

This drama is like curling up with a good book and a warm cup of tea with the rain comfortably pouring outside your window. I was afraid it would be the kind of slice of life where nothing happens and can't pull me in (Run on) but this had such interesting characters each with a story, you couldn't help fall in love. There are scenes that are silent but so beautifully shot you fall in love with this drama piece by piece.

The ML in the story is basically living my dream life, somewhere near the mountains, running a bookshop in a beautiful old house. His daily life is surrounded by books and there's something so comforting about that. But also his story reminds us that we might not think much of it, but actually we have so many people in our daily lives who support and love us. I loved his relationship with his mom, I cried so many times at those scenes.

The weakest link in the drama was Park Min Young, which isn't to say she was bad but she wasn't as good as the rest of the cast. I think the best drama I have seen her in is still Healer, after that her acting is more or less very similar in every role she plays. But her strength lies in her chemistry with the MLs and this drama is no exception. The main leads chemistry was fire, they were so wonderful together.

My favourite character is the sister. Her scenes were so delightful I just smiled everytime she was on screen.

All in all a wonderful drama to watch on a cozy weekend that lets you take fresh breath between all the fast paced dramas out there.

I was really annoyed that seo dong jae's character had zero growth. Out of everyone in the drama he had the most reason to change but they show him to stay exactly the same, not learning anything from the earnest plea of his boss.

I also get the writer wanted to show what would realistically happen esp since the main perpetrator went about getting justice the wrong way, but it really was annoying that in the end nothing really seemed to have changed. The wife joins the father's company and becomes part of the system to rot it further, most of the big ceos/directors are hinted to be able to get away with it. The ending kiind of made me feel - so whats the point? What's the point of doing things the right way? If nothing changes and everything stays the same then I would rather choose Mr Yoon's way of avenging for his son's death. At least the truth is revealed and one piece of the filth is removed from this world.

A very realistic take on what chasing illegal activities from a steadfast prosecutor would look like. The best part of this drama - and the reason to watch are actually in the last 3 episodes. The writing in this drama was pretty good and you can't tell who is good who is bad (apart from the main leads, everyone else is grey). That's what made this so great to watch, you can tell a lot of research was done to presenting the drama as authentically as possible (even the ending).

I do think however the middle dragged on a bit and I found myself skipping quite a few scenes. There were some scenes that were a bit awkwardly written, and the pacing felt a little off. Some episodes where a lot happens and then the middle where nothing happens. I'm not sure if that was purposefully done to give a more realistic feel to the drama but it made me quite bored.

All in all it is still a pretty good drama to watch and the ending will definitely make you think (even a little irritated/sad).

Wow. The acting in this drama- it's a masterpiece purely because of the acting by the main leads. Shin Ha Kyun is so brilliant in just the way he smirks, I think I have rewatched the last 5 mins of the 1st episode 5 times already now. Yeo Jin Goo also holds his own and you actually see him grow as an actor within the drama. The story captures you instantly and doesn't let go even when you end the last episode. I wouldn't say this is a drama about the crime as much as the characters in the story and their journey.

This drama gave me the same feeling as Signal despite being quite different. The story/ the cast and their acting/ the chemistry between all of them/ the freaking OST!/ the script - everything in this drama was amazing. It definitely deserves some awards. Highly highly recommended.

I think it's hard to really put into words how good this drama is so I'm going to stop trying.
