Tbh I'm a bit disappointed with the ending. They didn't explain how Qinglong, Lu's brother, and that officer died everything remained a mystery. The focus was more on the romance yet Xia Liuyi's realization felt a bit sudden and the everything seemed rushed. So they better come up with a s2. The plot is so damn good hope they have a budget this time to explore further.

I've loved how the series is different from the novel but today I was looking forward to when Liuyi got to know little about his scheming and that confrontation before their kiss. Series Liuyi seems to me a bit clueless.

When I first got to know about it being a slow-burn romance and the romance starting way too late in the novel, I thought it gonna be fast-paced and it gonna cover most of the novel in the series if we took the synopsis into account. But I really didn't expect it to be this slow burn and it's gonna end next week 🥲. All I can think is that they deliberately split this season and will have a sequel😒
