Indeed. It was quite cleverly woven to potray him as potentially decent in the beginning. But the moment he took the throne after everyone else mysteriously dying, his plot was obvious. I’m surpried Chu Zhao didn’t see it until years later.
I am so thoroughly bored with Ji Ling and Wuyi's plotline, and the terrible direction is trying soo hard to make me care about them. I came here for Joseph and Chen Du Ling and there is simply not enough focus on them. Guess I'll have to drop this but it makes me truly sad.
How much angst and green tea characters can I expect going into this? Xianxia often has a lot of this but given how the show has only 29 episodes, I'm weirdly hopeful that there would be less time to waste with all that.
Lmaoo true! Definitely left me chuckling too, which it shouldn’t to be fair. And the way she’s so strong that she didn’t even momentatily sag when suddenly under the weight of his entire head given how he literally left it in her hands. The absurdity was strong with that one 😂
True lol. It’s common to see otherwise absurd feats like casually jumping onto a roof or sprinting on water in wuxia. I imagine they chalked this up to the power of martial arts once again and refuse to elaborate lmao.
