I’m honestly not ready for this series to end… like at all. I actually cried like in almost every ep, and I rarely cry in a series. It’s one of those rare stories that just sticks with you, the emotions, the characters, every little moment feels so real and beautiful. Saying goodbye feels impossible, 8 weeks passed by way too fast. 🥹

In this episode, Sun, still in his childlike state, hears Pobmek expressing frustration about wanting more time with the adult Solar and he thought Pobmek got tired of him, wanting to leave him. That innocent little heart gets hurt, so Sun decides to run away with help from his school friends on a secret mission to go back home and see his mom. The way he navigates his way there even as a seven-year-old in an adult body is both impressive and heartbreaking. When he finally reaches the house, we get this heavy revelation about his real family background and the truth behind his condition. It turns out the accident that triggered everything ties back to a traumatic childhood event involving his mother.
I hate Sun's mom for bringing him too when she wants to end her life. My poor innocent child doesn't deserve that. I am just so glad that he survived from the accident. That scene and the explanation around it left me feeling so protective over Sun. No kid, no matter what age their mind is stuck in, should ever have to experience something like that. It explains so much about why he switches and why he's so attached to certain things, like the puppet persona or the song that helps him sleep.
What surprised me the most is how GMMTV went really deep with the plot from the novel. I didn't expect them to explore the psychological layers, the trauma, and the family secrets this thoroughly in a series like this. It adds so much weight to Pobmek's struggles as he tries to care for the person he loves while dealing with these switches between Solar and Sun. The performances from Perth and Santa make it all feel so real. Perth shows Pobmek's exhaustion and quiet devotion so beautifully, and Santa switches between the cheerful adult and the pure, vulnerable child in a way that breaks your heart.
Whoever skips this show just because they think it looks childish is really missing out on something special. This episode proves there's real depth here, and I'm completely invested now.
