I think they still want to draw some parallel between what's happening in reality and what Earn is imagining, so they don't want the two to differ too much. They already did kind of a smiliar thing by transitioning the scene from Amy/Sophie to Earn/Som in the first episode. Gotta wait for an actual Belle/Earn scene.

Insanely good. Probably the best Thai GL period, or at the very least on the same level as Clairebell. I knew the wait will be worth it the moment I saw the first teaser years ago, and I wasn't wrong.

For whatever reason, the series added even more miscommunication than the book had, and at the very end no less. I don't think it was necessary. The flashback confession was done really well, though. Very emotional.

After Love Senior and this, it's clear that Atom plays conflicting characters that divide the audience really well. I really like her acting and hope to see more of that from her. Mersedes is a bit hard to judge, since I thought her performance as Sun was pretty flat and subpar, but then again the character barely has any personality even in the book, so she kinda did the job? From what little we've seen from her as Jan, I think she has potential, so I'll reserve judgment until (hopefully) her next series.

Devi and Jenny were great, I hope they get their own series soon.

Yea, this series is really some next level stuff. The acting, the camera work, the writing, the music - it all really fits perfectly together. Let's just hope it maintains the quality until the end. WeTV doesn't mess around.

Yea, this is certified kino. I've noticed that the less popular and less shilled a series is, the better it actually is. It's like most people are just interested in intimate scenes galore instead of good writing.

Yeah, I just struggle with any explanation that would make the board agree to go back to the previous number, and since the supposed meeting wasn't shown, we can't judge the explanation given. I consider it a plot hole, myself.

We didn't see her convince them to go back, do we? For all we know, she just never raised the bid like she told them she would, heh.

They wouldn't be able to explain that to their respective boards and get approval for that.

I think they changed it because they wanted them to be more on the even ground. In the novel, Mae won because Ai basically gave up any ambition she had in favor of Mae and just served her the win on a silver platter. It's one of the reasons why the novel is mostly banal - there's zero tension regarding the bidding since Ai was pretty much set on losing the moment she met Mae, and it was only her father somewhat keeping her in the game. There was a big power imbalance in the novel, and Mae was mostly clueless about what was happening. In the series, it makes more sense why she's more determined, though, since her family situation is different and her father is more competitive.

I also think that the way the novel handled the sexual assault was way better. Mae asking her father to go with her is sensible, and that was when she knew it was Rachen who tricked Ai. Meanwhile, her going alone to handle who knows how many dangerous people (since she didn't know it was Rachen in the series) is just plain stupid.

Overall, it was good, but it really needed at least two more episodes due to all the additions that complicated the story compared to the novel. It's good that they made the last episode so long, and it managed to tie everything up, but it still felt a bit rushed.

She wanted her to win in the novel, although there was an additional clause introduced near the end of the bidding that resulted in them having to manage the zone together, which Aiwarin hoped for.

They introduced so much drama in the series compared to the novel, I guess they wanted it to have more tension.

If it's any consolation, here Auer's story was resolved within a single episode, and he was sorta responsible for moving the girls' relationship forward. Meanwhile, in the novel, there's a male love interest (well, neither girl has any interest in him, but still...) who keeps meddling until the very end, so I'd say we got it much better here.

The novel subverts those expectations, although the show made quite a lot of changes to the script already, so it's hard to say if it will follow the novel in that regard.

He wanted Ai to exploit her relationship with Mae to gain the upper hand in the bidding, but was generally nice and supportive otherwise.

I'm torn on the huge amount of changes made compared to the novel. On the one hand, they undoubtedly made the story much more interesting than in the novel - the bidding was just a backdrop there and wasn't really all that important, so the story didn't really stand out much from the other GLs. Here its importance is much greater and there's way more scheming going on from all the sides. On the other hand, this obviously makes the plot more convoluted and this is a problem when the show only has 8 episodes, especially when you introduce a side pairing on top of all that. Maybe the last two episodes will change my mind somehow, but so far I think the pacing was too hectic. Episode 6 was actually good and should've been the standard of pacing for the others, instead of the Formula 1 we've had so far.

Very good imo. Pacing is great, as is acting, and the dynamic between the leads is pretty complex (even if you ignore the switching bodies things). Didn't expect that, but probably my favorite show this season so far, it feels the most fulfilling on all fronts. I thought I'd be liking Harmony Secret the most, but the pacing is too fast, and it comes off as if it's trying too hard because of that, at least for me.

Absolute kino, waiting for the next episode is going to be pure torture.
