Sweetest Lead Couple I've Watched

Love this drama! A pleasant surprise! The sweetest lead couple that I've watched so far. No drama/conflict/third party to "threaten" their relationship. I like that they're both successful professionals when they got together -- well aware and respectful of the demands of their respective careers. They are mature enough to communicate with each other when conflicts and challenges arise. They are also strong individuals who can stand on their own but they seem to work best when they put their heads and efforts together.

The side stories of the support cast add to the "sweet, warm feeling" that this drama conveys to its viewers. There's a healthy balance of comedy, romance, and action.

The lead actors act so naturally -- they seem so comfortable with each other that you won't feel that they're acting. It's as if they're just being themselves in real life.

Love everything about CLOY! Who doesn't, anyway? The plot is unique and will really "hook" you from start to finish. The chemistry of the lead actors (and even the 2nd lead couple) are very evident - they are believable. The ending may have been a bit open-ended (for me), but is more "realistic" than one of them defecting. The entire ensemble is also commendable - while they have their individual "stories" to tell, their group dynamics made the drama more entertaining and put-together that they deserve to win an award as a team.

Beautiful Cast, Stretched Story

Was excited to watch this because of the lead actors and the plot summary looked interesting. The build up at the start was interesting and I expected the story to unravel more. However, the story seemed to have been stretched so much that the conflicts with the demon and the "evil" characters were repetitive and the back stories became confusing. There were a lot of unanswered questions: Who is Mae Hyang? Who will win in the battle between the 2 princes? Why was that left hanging and why did they choose that to be the ending (a set up for Season 2, perhaps)? What's with the three hooligans who still haven't stopped looking for Hong Chun Ki? Most importantly, I honestly didn't feel that much chemistry between the two lead characters because their interactions as a couple were very limited and, sometimes, awkward.

Overstretched Storyline, Too Many Sub-Plots

I had high hopes about this drama because of the ML. The story was interesting at first but seemed overstretched, with so many sub-plots and conflicts that slowed down the pace, hat I already got impatient and lost interest as early as Ep10.

The early episodes built up the characters of the ML and FL as brilliant and achievers in school. But, as the story progressed, they didn't seem to be such. I found the FL irritating because she eventually became timid and lacked self-confidence - so different from the feisty girl in Ep1. The ML started off as seemingly successful but was overcome by business and personal problems that his "brilliance" from the first few episodes eventually dimmed.

Even the side characters have huge, stretched conflicts and plot twists. As a result, the story of the lead characters came out as lacking - that when you reach the ending, you'll be left hanging and wondering why it ended that way. (Yes, I jumped from Ep10 to Ep44 with the hope that the ending might have redeeming values. Unfortunately, I was disappointed).

It also didn't help that the lead actors have zero chemistry. And, was posing as the dead son really the only solution to the mom's illness? Despite this, though, I still like Bai Jingting.
