Inconsistency in character's personality.
I've been enjoying this drama with a captivating storyline. Each episode begins with a brief, engaging flashback that showcases the characters' friendship, values, and past antics. The series excels at portraying an interesting friendship among four distinct individuals who support each other, despite their differences.
As an audience, I was initially drawn to the female lead's determination in pursuing her love interest, Jiancheng. Despite his indifference, she put in considerable effort to win his affection, which helped shape our perception of her character. Which was firm willed, determined and person who is ready to fight for her love.
However, the later development of her relationship with Ye Han revealed a different side of her personality. She became overly sensitive and indecisive, ultimately ending the relationship due to a misunderstanding. This portrayal contrasted sharply with her earlier characterization, as she seemed to give up on love easily or failed to appreciate its value.
It's disappointing to see such a drastic change in the female lead's character, We as a audience make a guess of character's personality based on what we watch, and all of sudden the female lead starts to things which is inconsistent with her personality. I hope the writers address this inconsistency in future work. A more nuanced and coherent character arc would significantly enhance the viewing experience for the audience.
