I thought she was in her 40s (and was supposed to be that in the series not 30) so it didn't bother me at all…
Actually, I see more and more people freaking out if the woman is younger. For wokeists, Goblin is unwatchable. They call it an age gap drama. It used to be called a fantasy drama. Wokeists are changing our very language. It's not double standards, the direction is programmatic intolerance and cancelling which affects even k-drama reception in ridiculous ways. Like people saying they are not able to watch Goblin, 2521, or even Our Blues because of the age gaps. They see grooming and exploitation of female actresses everywhere. Exploitation will happen more in Hollywood because k-drama is way more centered on feelings than pure sex. I've seen people who say k-drama female actresses are "being groomed" if the male lead is older. But I think that actors and actresses are chosen based on their acting ability. Sometimes that leads to age gaps. It's just that the age gap here in CCR bothers me, without any ideological attitudes or double standards.
I'm a huge fan of YAI but for them it's money. You should have canceled way before then, if you're so sensitive…
capitalism couldn't possibly be a reason to cancel anything. People are protesting unfair treatment. A victimless crime is not a crime for most people.
This is the time for him to take care of his mental health. Yes it's unfortunate for everyone involved in his…
Nobody hates him, actually, at least here in MDL and this has been quite the discussion topic. Pls go ahead and count the number of comments sympathetic vs. hating towards YIA. And I've seen no hate towards him in YouTube either. What people hate is the cancelling. But pls go and verify the real figures.
The problem is that the other actors, directors, producers, and the sponsors unfortunately wouldn't want to be…
That's just your assumption. I'm sure the actors prefer their work to see the light of day. Korean sponsors can't have anything against showing the works for Netflix's international audience.
Netflix has zero reasons for cancelling. All the western garbage trash they roll out and now they're so orthodox suddenly. This is so unfair for Lee Byung Hyun and Moon Jung Hee. And Ahn Eun Jin. Was so looking forward seeing these great actors in new works. I feel robbed tbh.
The moment we learned they are real brothers but don't know it, I understood this cannot have a happy ending. Going to be a tragic one. I feel it's better to know and tune expections accordingly. Just my hunch though, I could be wrong.
it's depressing to see people criticize the age gap between two consenting adults just because the FL is older.…
It's not that. People are criticizing the way they did not write it consciously as a romance between people having an age gap. Pretending the age gap doesn't exist doesn't really work here.
Don't kill me, because for me the drama is mediocre. It's nice, but not great. For me it's way too predictable, and I'm constantly skipping scenes. I'm looking for more intelligence and witty dialogues, and this drama is not it. The plot with rich parents using their power to influence schools and putting insane pressure on their children is way too common and overused. Maybe I prefer darker dramas, since to me the most interesting part is the family with the shut-in kid and his mother. Pls don't call me a hater and start dissing my taste. I try to tolerate everyone's views and expect the same.
