I'm liking this so far. At least the first 4 episodes stick with the 4 main characters, which is nice. The fl is getting better and better. PHS is great in this role.

I tried to watch the first episode since it was first aired but still couldn't finish it.. Im so bored to watch…
in my experience, most of the time first impressions are reliable. I easily drop if the first 15 mins don't engage me at all. I tried until 2nd ep but couldn't go further. So many better dramas out there.

For everyone saying the plot is weak, and the acting is bad, I really want to know what's their standard of exceptional…
Let's get back to this discussion when you've watched 300 k-dramas. Less than 20 does not give any clues about standards.

Some people have suggested Alchemy of Souls was "plagiarized" from Wuxia and Xianxia. They don't understand what…
Well said. Those people should just be happy about the Chinese dramas they watch and find good. Trying to drag down a fantastic k-drama is not the way to promote Chinese dramas. Chinese dramas wil become successful if they are good, not by setting up a defaming machinery against k-dramas.

Thanks for the details about one of my favorite k-dramas. I already wrote about the claims that AoS was "plagiary"…
He's so good - and different - in When the Weather is Fine. Worth watching for him.

Ep 6 was soo good, I laughed so much during all of the mains' interactions! I just adoooore Kim Jung Hyun
Park Bo Young, Jung Somin, Shin Hye Sun, Lee El, Bae Doona, etc etc never played stupid characters. The k-drama rom-com empire might look like that if you just fish around for stupid dramas. But if you fish around for intelligent ones you can find them quite easily.

Matrimonial chaos is intelligent and funny. Also heart-grabbing. Truly a hidden gem. We get to know all the characters well, the acting couldn't be better. It's rare to come across to such a well written drama. The difficulties and realities of marriage and living together are treated thoroughly but there's always an underlying sympathy for everybody's weaknesses. The friendship between the four main characters and other members of family surrounding them is one of the most enjoyable things. Found families is one my favorite tropes. I wasn't bored for a second, the drama is so heart-warming all in all. I don't get the MDL rating, for me this is 9/10 aka top drawer drama.

Adaptions are not necessarily written or directed by women, I couldn't watch any of those - disgusting to the max.

Shower scenes showing the male body exist in k-drama only, so it's not a concept only but a practice. Just one example.

ONLY k-drama is made for the female gaze. All western dramas are for the male gaze. If you want to see toxicity you can find it of course. But all of are who have landed on k-drama after western dramas are just very very grateful and feel that we are finally seeing what we always wanted to see.

one odd question - Kim Ji Hoon - his hairstyle - does it have any style name ?
Best hair day in k-drama since Arthdal Chronicles!

if you look for an agenda everywhere, of course you'll find it. But missing all the fun.

So, basically, another version of Doom at your Service? Doom was excellent, not sure this will be as good though......
I don't get the comparison. There are zero similarities. DAYS has a much more serious undertone, focused on philosophy of life and psychology, no action, extended dialogues.

This is funny and entertaining. Fast-paced. FL is badass and there's the additional bonus of Kim Ji Hoon!
