also, the blurb above states they retreat into the world of heaven and earth...did something get lost in translation? do they mean heaven on earth or can someone who speaks chinese and english fluently explain this saying?
is the second part of this drama helmed by same writer director? has anyone read the novel it's based on? Curious if we can expect a happy ending or a tragic one....
I don't know if FL would do better in a different role, but the character she plays is not very likeable in my opinion - I hate wishy wash characters that play games - female or male. Maybe writers faut for writing it this way, or this actress doesn't know how to add nuance?
no no no, this had the makings of a good story, but the last few episodes were ridiculous. I am disappointed it's like someone else wrote the final episodes, or the original script writers got tired of the story. what a shame
like many of our fellow posters I am frustrated with the storyline. I don't mind the acting and story in general, but how can a love blossom between FL and ML when she is constantly trying to kill him. And the little girl will grow up with PTSD thanks to the FL changing interaction with her. My estimation of this drama will lower if they don't get past this bait and switch stuff. The audience got the message, FL Han Yan is hell bent on revenge, but she and Fu need to let go of their grievances when it comes to their family unit. This may be realistic to some but it's definitely unhealthy and bodes ill for their future together - no matter what the novelist intended.
This drama closely follows the novel,I've noticed it in HL & in this one too..the conversations, setups, story building,…
oh I like that angle, I was thinking it was in the present, but what you suggest makes sense, and as the series closely follows the novel, I don't recall that scene in the current timeline, Thanks for posting that!
would like to see some heart fluttering moments and PDA - their physical interactions in go go squid were adorable and dripping with chemistry. I hope we get to see love with a bit of skinship blossom in s2! it's pretty clear ML is falling first
