Slowburn, Intense Chemistry and Story That Keeps You at the Edge of Your Seat
Okay listen, I have nothing but good things to say about this BL!As someone who’s a big fan of Lakorns, this right here? ANOTHER AMAZING LAKORN from one31. They just don’t miss!
And yes, I’ll say it proudly… I like generic tropes. If you watch enough Lakorns, you already know how these stories usually go. It’s predictable, it’s dramatic, it’s emotional, and honestly? That’s exactly why I love it. This “cliché” setup? I’ll eat it up every single time. I never get tired of it.
Also, if you’re like me and you prefer seeing actual feelings develop — like slow-burn, real chemistry — and not just random NC scenes thrown in every episode… this one’s for you. The pacing is chef’s kiss; it builds so naturally, and every episode just makes you want to watch the next.
I binged all eight episodes in one sitting (no regrets) and I’m saving the last four to binge together again. So if you’re not watching yet, I’ll assume you’re just letting it marinate too, so you can watch it all at once like me…
Honestly, it’s such a beautiful story; to say i’m obsessed would be an understatement cos I AM OBSESSED.
Definitely on my Best BLs of 2025 list already!

A Must-Watch for all Chinese BL Fans!!!
I can't get over this one!!!See, I knew right after watching the first episode that I had to let it marinate before watching! And five episodes out, I went back to it and wish I had been patient enough to wait for all nine episodes.
It is a good watch!
Don't even hesitate, get into it! And please don't skip after the first two episodes because let me tell you something, episode three is where it starts to hook you in!
I have so much to say about this show but I'll save it! You should watch it and see for yourself.
I'll just say one thing though - THE DETECTIVE AND THE INVESTIGATOR???!!! EXCUSE MEEE!!! Side romance that we didn't know we needed.
I haven't read the story, so I'm new to the whole thing but will definitely be reading it later.
Why are you still reading? Start the show already!!!!

Not a Fan of Horror Shows And…
This one is no different.Yeah, that’s it. Personally, I’ve never been a fan of horror shows but I decided to watch this one cos it’s BL (duhh) and I liked the ML in Paradise of Thorns.
Yeah, I still like his acting here and it’s the reason I’ve watched all released episodes so far. Keng is an amazing actor.
Now about this BL show? Idk man. It’s a weird one is all I can say. Aside the fact that it’s horror (a genre I don’t like) it has nothing else to make up for being a genre that’s a hard-watch for me.
The romance aspect? It’s just so-so. I liked the second leads romantic interactions (not so much) but it’s a good reason to give this a try if you want to.
I’m dropping this show but I don’t regret watching it and won’t ask for my time back lol.
However, it is just NOT my type of story AT ALL.
I do not like the plot, the reincarnation trope too has never been my favorite, also the romance is kinda like a by the way and the horror aspect takes the forefront.
You might like it, who knows? Watch to find out, I guess…

Well, I Love Shows about… Food
I don’t have much to say about this drama because unlike many other viewers, I did not watch it for the plot.Okay, wait omg, hear me out, yeah sure, a show should have a good storyline for you to watch and enjoy it BUT I didn’t go into this one hoping to enjoy the plot.
In all honesty, if you ask me what the story is about, I’ll probably have nothing to say.
“So, why the 7.5 ratings if the story is forgettable?” 😏
I’ll tell you.
THE FOOD. THE COOKING. HOW THE CHARACTERS TREAT FOOD LIKE IT IS PURE ART.
That’s all. That’s the only reason this drama show was a good watch for me.
I just love the cooking, the food, the trad cooking competition …
Now if you’re looking for a fascinating romcom drama, or something with romance that will make you swoon, this is not that show.
Oh, I also have to add that Lee Chae Min outdid himself with this one. His acting was commendable. And to think I almost didn’t watch this because I was scared he might not be the best cast for the “Tyrant King” character. But surprisingly, he proved himself as a versatile actor.
Anywaysss, that being said, is this a terrible show? Absolutely not! Is it a great one? Umm, not really.

Those Who Get It, GET IT
I could talk about this BL for days, but I’ll keep it brief. It is an amazing story, realistic (of course it is) but I don’t think it’s for everyone. It’s only for those who don’t mind watching the realities of being a young questioning queer child.
It’s that kind of story that stays with you for days, especially if you, in a way or two, see your younger self in the characters.
It stayed with me for days and I’ll forever be one of those who think this still remains one of the best Thai BLs in history

I Expected So Much More…
This show is kinda like a let down? Idk, like the beginning made it seem like we’re going to get a good story, but it ended up just being…meh.I mean, it’s not terrible but the strong start might raise your hope…
All in all, wasn’t a terrible watch but it’s not on the list of my “recommendable” BL shows.

I Yearn for a Second Season…
This show will be a little above “okay” if there’s a follow up season…Why?
The ending feels so rushed and we didn’t get to see the characters “experience” each other in a romantic way.
I don’t even know where to fit this on the romance chart because it was all just angst from episode one to the last.
Oh, we did get some crumbs of almost-romantic moments but how is that even all we get?
Overall, it’s not a terrible watch but more episodes would have even made it recommendable.
You can watch it but don’t expect too much.

Beautiful Cinematography, Quiet Intimacy, Atmospheric Storytelling
Still watching this, but I have to say the cinematography is exceptional.More than simply looking beautiful, the visuals actively support the story. For me, that has been the show’s greatest strength.
Now about the story, this isn’t a typical surface-level BL. The premise seems relatively simple, but it’s told with a surprising amount of depth. It explores realistic queer experiences. The themes are woven into everyday interactions.
This isn’t a conventional CBL, and I think that’s exactly why it’s working so well so far.
Note: if you’re looking for a series driven by frequent, explicit NC scenes, this probably won’t be for you. Personally, I don’t mind the lack of them. In fact, I think the censored approach contributes to the show’s overall atmosphere. It keeps the focus on the characters, their emotional connection, and the quiet intimacy that the cinematography captures so beautifully.
Another pleasant surprise is the format. (CBL fans know this is a rarity) At over 40 minutes per episode across 16 episodes, so we would go through every single emotional beat.
The show is still ongoing, but so far I have nothing but positive things to say.
If you’re looking for a Chinese BL that features thoughtful storytelling, stunning cinematography, nuanced queer representation, emotional depth, and a slower, more atmospheric approach, then you must watch this one.
(I’ll edit as I watch)

Stoic Prosecutor X Clumsy Inspector With a Dark Past Falls in Love
Whatever it is that’s happening in the KBL world this year, I hope it never stops. We’ve been getting some pretty good (out of KBL comfort zone) series this year, and this yet is another one.High-quality show, interesting mystery/thriller plot, and so far, the story is progressing really well.
I’m curious to see how the love builds up between ML and MC, but I know this would be more than just the typical man-falls-in-love-with-another-man Korean BL, this story already looks like something very very different from that. Dangerous… Risqué too perhaps.
If you love mystery, suspense, thriller shows, then you should give this a watch.
First Edit: I absolutely love this story so far. The plot is so interesting and engaging. Six episodes in, and the momentum is still very solid.

A Good One But First Throw Away Your Moral Compass
I want to say CBLs are notorious for making shows with morally grey characters, but you probably already know that too…Now, about this show? It’s not in any way a bad watch but I won’t call it a show for everyone.
If you love fluffy, cute, sweet, morally right…type of BLs, then please don’t bother with this one. The story is complex, dark, and not fluffy.
HOWEVER, if you want something that will keep you watching and characters that (will) know how to sway each other; this is the one!
The characters in this story are what I’ll call - good for each other.
It’s just two episodes in (I’ll edit this review as I watch) but so far the story is suspenseful and I can’t wait to see how everything unfolds.
If you want to watch it, then don’t hesitate, just do and see for yourself!

Punk Fashion Meets Interesting Love Story
Yes, I know it’s only two episodes into the show, but this is such a solid start.I didn’t expect to like the story the way I do. I love it; the first episode had my attention from start to finish.
I haven’t read the manga so I have no idea what’s to come but I can tell this will be another great JBL.
I won’t say much about the story to avoid spoilers; but I like the concept, the punk fashion style, the characters, and the plot too so far.
I’ll edit this review as I watch, but this is for anyone wondering if they should start this show - YOU SHOULD!

Two Men, Good Chemistry and BOOKS…
I like the first episode and I’m hopeful I’ll like the other episodes. The story is different in a good way. Two matured men reconnecting and we will watch how love will bloom between them.
Also, as a book lover, I love the literature theme in this story. Love how art is positioned as a thing that heals and will bring the two men together.
I won’t say much yet to avoid spoilers but will come back to edit this when I’ve watched all the episodes because I’m certain I’ll watch this one till the end.
For anyone trying to decide if this is worth watching, it is. Give it a chance and you will be glad you did.

Romance That Would Happen Between Two Actors on Set
Two “straight” actors, mind you, but this show is telling the story well.Four episodes in, and there are a lot of things that makes this a good CBL so far. The story, the acting, the chemistry, the sexual tension, and the insane visuals.
So far, I’m liking the progression, but we all know a CBL cannot exist without something like a “red flag” that would have viewers questioning the whole romance dynamic (and this has that too) but I want to see how the romance would develop between these two “straight” actors. (I put “straight” in quote because it’s questionable so far, they could be latent biromantic/bisexual) but I’ll leave it here to avoid spoilers.
All in all, leave your hesitations and give this a watch! It’s good so far and you won’t hate it.
(PS - I’ll edit my review as I watch as usual)
Edit 01: After watching episode three, I have to say CBLs are notorious for featuring morally dark characters and I’m just never a big fan of that. There are some things that shouldn’t be represented even in fiction.
Not sure how I feel about this new episode, but I’ll keep watching.

A Unique Type of Love: The Prince Who Is Also a Servant To…
The man he loves. This story has an interesting premise and the title suits it so well. It’s basically a CEO who is obsessed with his first love (now nobody)
The CEO is highly-respected at work but when around the man he loves, he becomes an obedient “love servant.”
I must say there’s something about this story that just hooks you in. I was unsure how to feel about it when I first watched the first episode, it wasn’t a bad watch, don’t get me wrong, but I just needed one more episode to know what the story is and where it’s going.
After watching the second episode, I can say now that’s it’s not even a bad watch. If you want to start it, START IT.
(I’ll edit as I watch)

A Good Watch and an Emotional Rollercoaster
I was a bit reluctant to start this one but finally decided to give it a chance today and was hooked. Binged the first four episodes and looking forward to the next episodes.I won’t say much about the story to avoid spoilers but one minute I’m laughing, the next, I’m bawling my eyes out. And what does that tell you? It is, for sure, a good story. Emotional plot line and I love the concept too.
Ah, also the little romance blooming on the side is really cute to see, so yeah, there’s that too.
Overall, it’s a good show so far, and if just like me you’re also contemplating watching it, you should. I believe you won’t regret it.
I hope the quality stays consistent until the end of the show.
EDIT - it got boring at episode 12 or so but still a good watch
