Review The Fire Spoiler
We have so many similar thoughts in our reviews aaaaaaaaaaa.

Yes, right from the start they were so charming together. Even without the romance coming into play yet, the chemistry they had even with the enemies dynamic still was so good.

As for the "So this is what straight people have been enjoying all these years watching those old-school romance dramas?" sentiment, this is exactly what Gap made me feel when it first aired and I only got to feel that way again with The Fire. Out of all the GLs I've watched, they're the only ones that have made me this obsessed and rewatch an unhealthy amount of times (mostly through reactors).

The payoff remark is right on the money, it was soooo satisfying. The novel actually had more scenes of them dating before sh*t hits the fan and I absolutely love how their banters just involved romance now lmao. Fai still sometimes can't compliment Kaphrao without a little bit of insult and Kaphrao absolutely still loves teasing Fai. Even in the special chapters, they were still bickering and I really love how their dynamic didn't completely change but just shifted now that their hearts are aligned.

I haven't really tried listening to the full OSTs of the previous elements but I absolutely adored all of NNN's OSTs for The Fire and how much the songs fit their exact vibes and emotions. I did like the previous songs but The Fire ones are the only ones I actually have added to my playlist.

The acting review is so true!!! Both Namneung and Noey absolutely hooked me and genuinely amazed me how they were able to breathe Fai and Kaphrao into life and just embody these characters so perfectly given that these were their first leading roles overall. I heavily agree with Noey's excellent performance with the subtle facial expressions all throughout the show and Namneung really shone in the finale for me with how well she acted in all the heavily emotional scenes Fai had in the first half of the episode.

As for Kaphrao and wanting to have more time for acknowledging her emotions, I honestly feel that way for all the cousins-in-law. At the end of the day, the main protagonists are still the cousins so nothing much we can do about that.

Episode 7 probably is my all-time favorite GL episode ever. The amount of times I've immediately rewatched that episode after it aired is just- aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

I'm also praying that this isn't NNN's last GL project. Of course, if they aren't comfortable with it anymore I'd understand but I would be so disappointed to know that they have so much chemistry and yet only had the chance to star in one GL.

Title The Fire
the fire made me decide to write my first ever review for any show/movie on mdl lol. when 4e and the cast were announced, i was actually hyped for fb and the modern princess plot the most. however, once i read all the novels last year, i ended up liking the plot for the air the least and unexpectedly ended up loving the fire's plot the most despite not liking bullying and not really being a major fan of the enemies-to-lovers trope. i also ended up loving kaphrao the most back then. finally getting to see how namneung and noey brought fai and kaphrao to life made me fall in love with faiphrao all over again. this is the first show where nnn got leading roles and they absolutely killed it, i personally think they acted perfectly for all the scenes. the last time i have been this obsessed with a gl was during the gap era but now, the fire has officially surpassed gap as my most rewatched gl (i am not kidding when i say i've rewatched them an unhealthy amount of times.) nnn being a shipped idol cp made me fall in love with the fire and them even more since i also used to be a major fan of keyakizaka46, a j-pop group that's super similar to akb48, the og j-pop idol group bnk48 (nnn's group) is from. now that all the 4e series have concluded, my ranking is 🔥>💧>🌏>🌪

(also: pls for the love of god, i hope we get better subtitles and official explanations of linguisitc and cultural nuances. i think out of all the elements, the fire needed it the most given how significant they were to faiphrao's dynamic. i listed all the ones i know that i have a gripe with and i feel like i missed so much more)

Title The Fire
Of the four dramas in this series, I enjoyed this one the least. Not because it was a particularly bad drama,…
it's not the "writers" fault lol, they followed the novel pretty closely. i do love the skepticism from those going into the novel and show blindly because yes, many of us agree that fai was sufficiently redeemed as the story progressed

Although I do agree that Ramil, and especially Paytai, are much more interesting in the novel, I won't say that…
question, as a gl fan, i was only intrigued by this bc i heard that ava and mira were gonna be a couple in the show. i tried searching if they were a thing in the novel but wasn't able to find information on them. by you saying they sacrificed ava's gl storyline, does this mean they actually had a storyline in the novel?

Doesn't matter if characters are supposed to be lesbian or bi if they are in a wlw/gl romance then just don't…
even just based on the title, this was never meant to be a "happy sapphic show" lol. iirc, the first chaser game is supposed to be a realistic drama as well based on the gaming industry. i understand the hate on het on gl as well but tbf, i've seen lot worse from telenovelas so.... at least in this story, the husband isn't heavily involved (atm)
