A lovely but at times frustrating love story. Give it a try!

As always, Taiwanese Bls don't disappoint. This was a good show in my opinion, I love the friends to lovers trope, even though I feel like this show didn't properly develop the main relationship. The beginning was amazing, but in the end it started to get a little boring. I eventually enjoyed the last episode and how they ended things, but to get to that point, the show took a turn that I hated. If you watch a lot of dramas you know that near the end there is always the big fight between the lovers before they reunite in the end, and I was really scared how they would do it here since it was going amazingly well between the main two. When it eventually came in episode 10 I was so mad at how they handled it that I basically skipped it entirely. Fu Li Gong broke up with Ze Shou for such a stupid reason, that just a simple, honest conversation between them could have easily solved the problem. I know it was necessary for the plot, but personally it could have been done better. Also, I felt that they went from being friends, to an actual couple, too quickly, and there should have been more time in between to make them reflect on their sexuality and relationship in general, especially for Ze Shou. Regarding the other couple, I don't really have much to say, I liked their dynamic more, but it felt less interesting. Nonetheless, I started this review in a positive way, because I still really enjoyed the show. I like the actors' chemistry, the overall story, the side characters, and I love how much kissing there is. It's very rare to see this many love scenes, so I really liked this aspect, it makes everything more realistic to me. To sum up, this is a very cute love story but with definitely some flaws, I wouldn't watch it again, but I'll look back at it in a good way.

this is messy and complicated in the most beautiful way possible

This is definitely one of the best Thai BLs ever released. You should really watch it if you like angsty but wholesome relationships that feel both real and emotional. Oh yeah and the acting is out of this world.
It’s best quality is definitely the amazing chemistry the both the main actors and the characters have, their relationship might be messy and complicated, but you will for sure root for them in the end.
I also love how real it is. Mark is a reserved but bold gay guy that just want to be loved, and Vee is a closeted, confused but outgoing guy that doesn’t really know what he wants, but is able to really love somebody with his whole heart.
Some people might consider their relationship toxic, and i get why, but i also disagree. I feel like it is definitely messy and immature in the beginning, but it never gets toxic. Every time Vee fucks up he always receives the consequences of his actions, and he has to earn Mark’s trust back. Yes, Mark is hurt a lot by this, but this is what you will get if you fall for a “straight” guy, and every time he forgave him, he always did it responsibly, knowing the risk and still keeping an eye open.
Another thing that i loved were the intimate scenes that they had, they really sealed the whole story together, and were always fun but never too much.
The only downside was how some scendere were written. Some parts felt maybe too forced and just for the sake of the plot, but that was never too big of a problem for me, because in the end it all came together pretty smoothly (besides the sex thing that happens in the first episode which was random and completely out of Vee’s character, so i pretend it didn’t happen).
To conclude I’d say that i’ve never loved a couple more and I want this to be the only season because it ended beautifully and I imagine a beautiful future for them already.

Short but gold

This miniserieses is really a gem. I discovered this after watching love mechanics because I loved the main actors and they didn’t disappoint in this show either. The cinematography and the acting is amazing, especially War, he can convey beautiful strong emotions without having to say anything. The story was short but fresh and very realistic. It depicts the normal life and struggle of young gay guys without having to make it too complicated. The only downside was the ending, it was kind of abrupt and it looks unfinished, but I feel like it was done like this on purpose. In real live there isn’t always an happy ending, and it’s nice to see it sometimes. However I still wish they would have end it more clearly.

A good but frustrating sequel

I want to start off by saying that I LOVED the first season, so it was very hard for this to top the previous one, and unfortunately it did not. Don’t get me wrong it’s still a really good show, but some parts were really confusing to me. It’s not a spoiler that they break up, because the whole season is about that, so I knew it even before I watched it, but it felt kind of unrealistic. If you really think about it, how the breakup was handled, is true to Ji Woo’s personality, but that’s the problem. I hate how he acts, he never speaks his mind and is so frustrating to watch, I’m glad that there was a big character development in the end, but if I were Seo Joon I would have honestly punched him in the face. He has to thank the fact that he’s adorable…
Nonetheless I still really liked how honest and “raw” this season was, it made me feel a lot of different emotions, and it kept me glued to the screen so much, I watched all 10 episodes in a single day. I love this couple and even if this was a little upsetting, the happy ending made me wish for another season just to see them again (even thought their story is finished and honestly another one would be a stretch), I hope we can see them again in other shows!

Above average but nothing too exiting

This show was really well done, and it’s definitely a more mature story compared to the classic BL’s one, however I didn’t find it enough entertaining to give it more than a 7.5. The story was kind of boring and very predictable, but I think that was due to the short number of episodes. I don’t really like big age gaps, but this one wasn’t that bad, even though I felt little to no chemistry between the two main actors. Overall it’s a good show, I would recommend it just because you can easily finish it in one sitting.

simple love story but amazing summer vibes

I’ve been really enjoying japanese BL’s recently, and this did not disappoint, well not completely…
It’s best features are for sure the amazing acting and cinematography that are able to perfectly convey the summery vibes of the show. However it’s very short, therefore its plot lacks in some aspects. The first few episodes are really engaging, but near the end it starts to get a bit stiff and the plot is really not moving forward.
The romance part lacks a little, but to be honest i think that it was done this way on purpose, to showcase better the inexperience of the two main characters.
Overall this is a really cute and wholesome miniseries that i would recommend to everyone who is looking for a simple coming of age BL

an amazing love triangle filled with cuteness but also deep storylines

I’m writing this after i watched the show for the second time, and just that tells you how much i loved it.
Everything was done right, especially the love triangle. I’m not lying when i tell you that even i knew how it was going to end when watching it again, i still had doubts on who the main character was going to choose lmao.
The best thing to me was the great character development that everyone had, even the “antagonist” ended up changing and being happy in the end. I also appreciated a lot how they incorporated the whole coming out and self acceptance journey, it’s rare for BLs to take that topic seriously like Light On Me did.
My only small complain is that i would have liked a more talkative main character because sometimes it was just too awkward and quiet in my opinion, and also i like more kissing and in general more physical contact, but this is mainly fluff and is a korean show so i understand.
To sum up i’d say that this is a beautiful fluff show, that is able to portray deep scenes and complicated love stories way better than many other series out there!

A beautiful love story that can be light and fun but also emotional and deep

This was amazing. I mostly watch BLs but this has quickly become one of my favorite shows of all time. Almost everything about it is finely executed, the cinematography, the acting, the plot, the side characters… I felt like I was really a part of the small town and I got attached to basically all the characters presented. Every storyline was interesting and different, but they still managed to not overshadow the main couple. They are perfect for each other and I love seeing them together, but I have one critique to make. Their relationship was presented as cold, but lovely I’m the begging, they would always tease each other and that was what kept it fun to me. However, when they eventually got together they lost all their chemistry in my opinion. They were just too sweet and I don’t think that really fit their personalities, especially for Hye Jin, so I wish they would have kept the dynamic that they had before a little more. Nevertheless I still love this show so much and I will always remember it in the best way.

A cute and different queer love story

This show is really one of the cutest that I've ever seen. Although there are definitely some flaws, I really think that the uniqueness of the story really elevates it. While watching it, I realized how much the sides characters were implemented in the story, and this is very rare in many BLs, so I really enjoyed it. However, I think that the side couple was kinda of threw in the middle of the episodes just as a filler, and their storyline felt kind of flat. Nonetheless, I still liked that there was something else happening besides the main couple's relationship, because that really develops only in the last 3 episodes.
The acting overall was fine, some definitely gave better performances than others in my opinion, but it didn't bother me much, my main problem with this show was the fact that some plot lines kinda disappeared throughout the series, and it didn't feel really cohesive. It felt like watching the everyday life of normal people more than a well written love story, but I guess that might be also one of the positives aspects for some.
The ending was really the best part for me, and it's definitely worth finishing it. To sum up, this show is a really chill and cute one, and I highly recommend it to people who just want an interesting and emotional love story rather than a complicated drama.

Good show but too slow

This is my first review that I leave here so go easy on me if it’s a little confused.
I really wanted to talk about this BL because it could have been easily one of the best ever made, but it isn’t. However there are definitely a lot of positive things that i enjoyed, such as the overall story and most of the characters.
The concept of reincarnation is a very tough one to execute well, but personally I think this show did an amazing job. I didn’t feel like there was something that didn’t make sense about it, because in the end it all connected pretty smoothly.
Even though the acting was a little to over the top for what I like, I really loved the side characters too . They were very funny and every time the main character (Pharm) spent time with them I was so happy to finally get a break from all the crying and the trauma.
What I didn’t enjoy however was how the show was filmed and edited, too much slow mo and scenes where the characters said nothing and just stared into space. I had to watch everything with the 10sec skip button or else I would’ve started to fall asleep. Also the scenes with Intouch and Korn (their past selves) were repeated too often, seeing them just one time was definitely enough, I had to skip most of them.
Another problem is that personally I found that the relationship between the main leads was kind of shallow, but I get it they’re supposed to be soulmates or whatever, and they also addressed this in the last episode, but I would’ve liked to see more of them just genuinely having fun and not always worried about their past lives.
Overall I really liked this show, and I would recommend it to everyone who has time and an high attention span.

This show is iconic, but don’t expect lovely and healthy relationships

This show will definitely be remembered as one of the most iconic BL’s ever. It’s so perfectly done that even if you don’t really enjoy the plot, I think that it’s still worth watching.
I don’t have any issues with the acting or the cinematography, but some parts in the plot were kind of messy and kept me from giving it a perfect rating.
The beginning was really good and the relationship between Kinn and Porsche was developed really well. The action parts weren’t too much or too little and that made watching the hour long episodes enjoyable.
The worst part for me were the last few episodes, especially the last one. They started to get too complicated for me, too many plot twists that just over saturated the story and defeated their own purpose of being shocking and unexpected. I still don’t know the real truth behind what happened in the last episode because of how confusing it was. However they ended the show in a way that might suggest another season, and I really hope that happens because there are still a lot of storylines to explore, especially the sides couples’ ones.
Another thing that kind of annoyed me was how toxic all the relationships in the show were. Maybe the healthiest one was Kinn and Porsche’s and that really says it all. I just would have loved to see more development in the emotional side, yes they love each other, but they keep doing the same mistakes over and over again and at the end they just fix everything with sex. Nonetheless I still loved the more intimate scenes, they were very explicit but that is something we never see in the BL industry so I was really happy to see that. Don’t get me wrong, I still love the couples in here, but I just wish they were a little less toxic so that I wouldn’t feel bad for rooting for them.
Overall I think that this BL is really a gem, and it’s so good and well made that is able to stand the comparison to the most popular action and romance series out there.

Average but still worth watching

I don't really have much to say about this show, it's very short, but not bad at all. Its plot it's not too complicated and that is positive in such a short bl, but the romantic part it's a bit lacking. I liked that fact that you didn't know who the main character was going to end up with until the last episode, however that same last episode was the worst one. I don't want to give spoilers, but to me, it just felt unrealistic and added just to create a problem between the two lovers.
In general, this is a cute but short show, that doesn't focus too much on the queer side, but it makes it a little bit different from the rest.
