boring.

I ditched the drama two episodes from the very end. I know it is a very short drama but it was sooooo fricking boring. nothing new on the horizon.

the story ( if we can call it that way) is about a shy guy who was excluded from his peers opening up after meeting the "nice" girl from his class.
her "trouble" is that due to her parents jobs (I guess, it's not that clear) she has no free time to spend as a normal teenager and stays home all the time .
they start meeting at her house and spending all evenings together. they obviously fall in love and .. that's basically it.
the side characters are really irrelevant. there is not much happening.
it is cheesy in a very boring way.
I saw better high school dramas and this really add nothing up.

skip it, you wont miss anything.
the only cute thing is the main character that looks like a lost puppy.

don't Miss IT... but don't overestimate IT.

short summary:
three friends run a guest house that is not really successful. one day they discover an "abandoned" baby in one of the rooms and decide to wait for the parents to show up before calling the police. when the mom does show up they find out that this girls has basically nowhere to go therefore they hire her as a "maid" and start living all together with some other friends.

i Saw Many excelent reviews about this Drama and was really exicted about it. don't get me wrong, I'm not disappointed but this is not the perfect drama that people want you to believe.
it is indeed funny, the gags are copious and cute but some episode were really hard to get through.
the sketches were highly predictable, not very ingenious and I've found myself skipping many scenes. overall it is a really good drama with good actors and and a cozy atmosphere.
the main issue lies in the main couple. their love story was really boring, not developed at all and the character of Yoon ah was frankly sooooo boring.
we never get to know why she left the baby in this guest house specifically.
the real star of the show is the character of Joon ki. he's the highlight of the whole series. his character is so funny and his scenes are unforgettable like the "gwenchana" scene with Rebecca the car.
if you are looking for a good laugh, cute moments, good chemistry between actors look no further.
I can't wait to start season 2

eat, run, love and... BOREDOM

I feel this title sums it up pretty well. They eat, sometimes they run, they surely love each and simultaneously try to kill us through boredom.

Plot🗯️🗯️
Ml and FL clearly share a common past but are at odds right now. We go back to their college days to see them fall in love and what is now keeping them apart.
This kinda of plot are really fishy. They know how to hook the viewer with a mystery to then serve us a tasteless drama.

The drama:🗯️🗯️
we dive pretty much immediately into the past to see the main characters fall in love with each other but do they really?
I personally love slow burns but I am ok with a good "fast paced" romance. There is nothing good here for me. The ml immediately falls in love with the FL for no reason. I think that love at first sight are a lazy plot device to avoid exploring characters and showing actual action.

Characters 🗯️🗯️
Ml: I only saw this guy in "lighter and princess" and even though I dislike his character I think the actor did a pretty good job at portraying an asshole. On the other hand I feared he just played "himself" but I can see that he's actually able to portrait other characters as well .
In this drama he is playfully, determined and lovely. Worst part is: he is a simp.
At a certain point the FL has menstrual pains and he so shocked like she is about to die. Dude calm down, she is not meeting the grim Reaper. Too much too soon.
He helps her out so many times which is something I don't particularly like. It makes her see unable to do anything on her own.
His love confession was laughable. "You touched my heart". When? She has done nothing for him (they barely know each other) and the only force pushing this love story forward is his obsession for her.( Obsession in a good way, I don't mean creepy).

FL: I never saw this actress work before and as a first experience I can say : I'm not impressed.
Personal taste but I find her voice quite annoying. The script doesn't help at all. I don't know why they gave a good characterization to the ml but left nothing for this girl. She is poor, smart and..nice I guess. Nothing is engaging about her which makes me dislike the "love at first sight" even more. I feel that without that these 2 wouldn't even talk. Their relationship feels so forced by the script. They get a 100% compatibility on a mating app, they like the same song, the same color etc.
What is this? Is a kid Fantasy?

The drama itself:🗯️🗯️
I am currently at episode 11 struggling to keep my eyes open. This drama is so boring, full of fluffy loving moments and the most mundane stuff happening on screen.
I can describe the vibe as "Disney movie". It has the same "fakeness, fantasy" feel to it. Everything is corny as hell.

The only reason I keep watching is to find out why they ended up hating each other but almost half way through I think the mystery is not worth it.

I am dropping it.

a different slow paced drama

I was really curious about this drama because I didn't watch many others mixed up with animation characters and from that point of view I wasn't disappointed.

Yumi's cells is a drama centered around the protagonist' love Life. we follow her around and see what happens inside of her during all the important or emotional relevant experience throughout life.

the little cells that control Yumi are really well characterized. they have a peculiar personality and style and are by far my favourite part of this drama.
I sometimes loved the animated part more over the "real life" ones.

to be honest, the main protagonist is kinda bland. she's not that interesting and does not have any peculiarity. her interaction with other characters are full of meaningless things, she's the quiet one and doesn't say anything of substance, but miraculously her friends all adore her.

the male leader was slightly better. he had a better defined personality and traits. but he was also annoying at times.

what I didn't like about this drama is that even though the portrait of a love relationship was pretty realistic, many of the conflicts between the protagonists were easily solvable. It was a frustrating experience watching them struggle through easy and light issues.

the drama is slow paced and lacks a strong " plot line". it a nice tell of a love story filled with reality.

overall I liked. the ending was fine and realistic.
if you like plot twist and tension that's not he drama for you, but if you enjoy sweet moments, more realistic portraits of life, Yumi's cell is definitely your cup of tea.

the cell animation is hilarious.
