xiao xu is the ML in the book.FL was a villian who wanted to get married to him(xiao xu) but he chooses lin yu Dai the FL in the book. then she ends her own life.
crown prince has a minor role in the book un which he dies so xiao xu can get the crown

in ep 8 he ate a piece of the candy but it was still complete after. this kind of small details bothers me 😭
anyway this is an enjoyable watch till now
