Misery...
On paper this is perfect, and between Lighter & Princess and The First Frost I've enjoyed my fair share of second chance romance cdramas. The main leads here have really great chemistry and I love that the FL is realistic and practical; it's refreshing to see an FL that's not your typical bubbly and naive one. And I'm so happy that they let her use her own voice and dressed her accordingly — this drama let her be a baddie because her post-timeskip outfits were SO pretty :^)
With that being said, in practice, I found the story kind of...miserable to get through. The villains were downright evil and I felt like they such a huge impact on the actions of the leads and thus the overall plot that I couldn't fully enjoy it. Even when it was a scene that was supposed to be happy or fun, I felt like I was waiting for the other shoe to drop and there was a dark cloud hanging over everything — I didn't really start enjoying everything in full until after the time jump and reunion, which didn't come until too late in the show in my opinion.
I'm disappointed because I think I would've really loved the leads otherwise.
