Yes, the animation is ugly, but the fundamentals of what makes a film are actually impressively solid.

The soundtrack is pretty good. The plot has steady conflicts that lead to character development. It has good themes. And you can actually see what the camerawork and film blocking is going for.

If this becomes a cult classic, I guess I'm part of that cult.
