don't they have a propriety distance between male and female in noble societies of that age ....If u save xu kai from drowning ....hes responsible for you ....if he carried her in his arms in front of family members which in high society is a no no .....you could be beaten to death for loss of virtue or sent to the nunnery.?

disappointing with only 3 episodes ....script is a let down ....this is the first xu kai drama I'm not enjoying because the script is terrible made even more terrible by the Zhou Ye acting .....totally deadweight ......I didn't read the book in hope of being able to like the drama ....but bad drama is bad drama.....just like legend of the female general.......on contrary against the current is so good despite being different from the book

Just 5 minutes in I realized that it was nothing like the book ....very shallow and no depth ....im ok with the female lead Zhou Ye and male lead is fine but If you have never read the book you will be fine ....but if you have read the book your expectations will be cursed ...understandably books cannot be mad into movies page to page as they will lose cinematic substance but I still thing if they had adapted it faithfully to the book the result would have been stellar
