GJ's mom as well drives the them home. Solely interested in money, she experiences great misfortune until she finally stops putting her money above all else in her life.

It could have used an extra episode to really wrap things up properly.

If I was robbed and then recovered all of my property I would be 100% fine with the police not wasting time trying to arrest someone who found my property (abandoned and on public property) and took it before returning it. Why would I care about people who didn't harm me?

I guess we have watched different shows as evidently you were watching some fantasy where the will is alive and can do things. The show the rest of has been watching has her getting a letter from her dad telling her to do something illegal and her then doing that illegal thing. All while not telling husband or child that they are also doing an illegal thing.

She is a grown ass adult and has agency. Her son and husband listened to her, told her she did a very illegal thing that could have huge repercussions on them, and then she proceeded, every step of the way, to make things worse. Even when told thst reporting the full amount of money to the police will cause her huge issues she chose to do it anyway.

These shows are always entertaining in how they have the rich look down on the poor for being greedy when every decision the chairwoman makes is about getting more money.

The reason for her behavior now is that she desparately wants to blame someone else for her own stupid choices. The backlash she has been getting is solely her fault, but she doesn't like that and so is latching on to anything she can to make it other people's failures. The drycleaner fam actually saved her, if they hadn't dug up the money it would have been found by the police when they followed the goons there. So she would have been receiving the same treatment as the public and also have to pay the tax and penalties.
