Picked this up again while waiting for my ongoing dramas. The first half was good and visually pleasing. While…
Though the ml didn't have to turn into an overbearing ceo just like many cdramas.
I quite like the twist. Everyone deals with grief differently, and fl's brain did that as coping mechanism to keep herself together and not break down after losing important people. At least with "him" she had good words before he passed, but with "her" it was sudden, not to mention the survivor's guilt. And I also liked how she eventually came to terms with it in her own way and time.
If the first half it was fl that was there for ml, I guess the second half it was ml's turn to be there for fl.
Picked this up again while waiting for my ongoing dramas.
The first half was good and visually pleasing. While the second half kinda turned into a typical web cdrama plot, except for that twist. I did notice some odd stuff but it still got me offguard.
Overall, its good esp. the chemistry and ost. Glad to have picked this up again, this time I enjoyed and finished it.
Picked this up again while waiting for my ongoing dramas.
It was slow but I was able to finish it this time mainly because of fl and her bffs. Though the one thing I dislike about a ml is here in this drama, a guy that is not resolute.
Overall, its not overly dramatic so its still watchable. The friendship was the best part.
This has been locked up for so long I forgot about it. I guess this one was an easier pass than the others because…
After setting up and misleading poor ZP for his own interest, LJ's desperation and panic when ZP said he ain't helping him was deserved. lol Also, LJ: “The imperial exam is near, you’re not studying but selling noodles?” ZP: “I’m poor.” LJ: “Some scholar are funded by family, you’re self reliant.” ZP: “I’m an orphan.” 🤭😆
And ZP playing dead to hear that confession was gold, esp. the part he sat right up and scared everyone. 😂
This has been locked up for so long I forgot about it. I guess this one was an easier pass than the others because it exists in a grey area.
First impression, the visuals are pretty, both the cast and the cinematography. Even the cases are visually pleasing just like all the deaths. And the comedic scenes in between the serious ones are done well.
Also, it took me a few minutes to figure out why ZP's friend is so familiar... and omg Lan Jingyi! lol
Overall, its a good start. So far its LJ being the indirect or direct cause of the cases and then trying to stop ZP from solving them. lol Looking forward to the next eps.
the ladies look deformed in the character posters 😫 good thing the stills are nice
Its not just the ladies.. definitely could've been better. And I thought there would be a cp poster too. But I guess its reserved for holidays, festivals, 520, etc. Well, its something to look forward to.
The stills are pretty, though can't say the same for the posters. Its okay since its just the first batch, like ALP maybe it'll get better every batch release.
ZLS's still looks so familiar, turns out the pose and color reminded me of her GZJ one. And HKL really is a model, survived both stills and posters.
Also that official english title already sounds good and angsty~
Yes, GYJ is 167 to LJW's 187. Daeho F4 are all 181-187.
I got these numbers on their profiles as I don't stan any actors. Based on your dp, you seem like her fan, then you're very much welcome to answer Lfb071.
Oh Weiying~ CQL was good (novel fan here). Though it would've been elevated to a whole new level with actual violence esp. in his necromancer revenge era. But whether budget or censorship, still it was a good adaptation. One of my few highly rated here.
And Haodu~ I didn't know he was a singer at first lol even though I liked his ost in SHL. But I knew by the time he sang for WRTW.
Same, I also don't watch long cdramas unless the plot is interesting. And I don't stan any actors, so if the story isn't keeping me I'm not watching.
Yes a lot watched AFS, I knew a few irl and online that watched it. Both AFS and HRH were random for me, but I ended up liking them more than the ones in my ptw. This year too, I'll give dramas that aren't in my ptw list a chance because I might end up pleasantly surprised.
1. Dramas - 55 2. Country - China 3. Genres - Romance, Historical, Horror, Mystery
4. Dramas Listed - All Of Us Are Dead, Extraordinary Attorney Woo & Love Like The Galaxy
5. Dramas Not Listed - Semantic Error, A Familiar Stranger & Her Royal Highness Since SE & AFS are rated well, I'll only write about HRH. Its a shorts so the plot and pacing is nothing to be critical about (its still fairly easy to understand) but this one gave me something even S+ full length dramas with A-listers hadn't, a sizzling chemistry. The chemistry was chemistryng like it never chemistryd before. The chin kisses were more heart fluttering than countless normal lips to lips that I've watched. And as for the power dynamics, this one is definitely for the girls.
6. 2022 - Most of the main dramas I was looking forward to didn't meet my expectations, while the ones that I randomly watched as fillers (while waiting for the main dramas) ended up entertaining me more. And I didn't like how asian dramas are getting westernized in parts/seasons.
7. 2023 - It'd be nice if the dramas (esp. cdramas) that had been in my ptw list for months/years to be released from the dungeon. Even better if they're worth the wait.
I didn't think I'd end up liking this drama. I'm no fan of the main leads and I didn't even watch P1. But this turned out to be more enjoyable than the current ones on my watchlist.
Looking forward to the ending this weekend, sad or open, as long as its not bad. Though a happy one would be very much welcome.

And there's still upcoming valentines, qixi, 520, etc for the cp posters.
ZLS and WAY looked pretty individually and good together, then cute at the bts.
I like that they included it, cause I ended up watching it more times than the actual greeting. lol its fun~

LJ: “The imperial exam is near, you’re not studying but selling noodles?”
ZP: “I’m poor.”
