Welp, since MyDramaList allowed Go Yoon Jung to be credited for Cho Yeong , it clearly meant that Cho's mind were shattered when her family were slaughtered, to survive she created Naksu to protect herself. Master Lee used Naksu's energy to restore the body, and Cho woke up without any memory and knew in her heart that she is not a Jin but a Cho. In a reality where the Ice Stone is not discovered, there is a very high probability Cho and Uk would had met and she would be one of his concubines.

Well somebody has to be completely oblivious in Season 2, the honor goes to Jin Ho-Gyeong in Season1, who couldn't "find" her own daughter even though Mu Deok literally showed up in her own room and wore the appropriate attire. As viewers we knew her daughter was Mu Deok the moment Bu Yeon was revealed to be blind. Season2, the privilege goes to Uk.

Mages have really bad communication skills, if you think about it, Master Lee could simply told Uk everything about Naksu, and Uk could used the Ice Stone to cure Naksu and brought back Mu Deok, or at the very least stuff Mu Deok's soul into Lady Heo.

Everyone who ran into "Bu Yeon" said she looked like Naksu, every single person, but the fact that Naksu was supposed to be dead, they ignored that fact.

If they wanted to distort Bu Yeon's physical appearance, they could had done a better job. Naksu is either going to resemble, Bu Yeon or Mu Deok, and it clearly is not the latter or a Frankenstein which you are implying.

Naksu and Bu Yeon are a split image of each other.

It is Bu Yeon's corpse, and Naksu's body.

I used Mu Deok to keep it simple, and apparently you got the gist of it. Master Lee is an enigma, and Bu Yeon's soul is not dead because Naksu didn't have the ability to see energy.
Question: whose soul is in Naksu's body right now?

edit: Master Lee was pressured into saving Bu Yeon. And not sure how a soul can reject its own body.
