That would be weird too. As Viki has mostly global rights for the show.
And Disney truly sucks with non English acquisitions. They do not distribute them globally. 99% of the kdramas they get donāt reach international viewers.
I would like to explain a bit about Ah Li's and Jiang Li's name and the mix up about the nicknames and people…
He called her a civet at the hall. I think that he hadnāt gotten that pendant then.
The two are not linked per se but when he gets the pendant I guess his suspicion got confirmed. I donāt think he was ever fooled. He just played along for his own agenda before just giving in his adoration.
yes! probebly the best costume drama i've seen since 2017
Ah sorry. Was not answering you. But Kira. They said itās the best since 2017. But thereās been quite a few since 2017 and among them love like the galaxy.
I feel like this was more violent and graphic then other C dramas I've seen. Did anyone else notice that?
Kinda. But in the past year thereās been a few that are as violent. Love like the galaxy wonderland of love journey to you come to mind. Thereās the fluffy historical dramas and then there is the gritty ones. I think this director gives heft with his cinematography so it feels more reel. The music helps a lot with the weight of the scenes.
how many times someone will arrive suddenly to save fl lol
As many times as needed. She doesnāt have that type of ego. But she also saved herself from the beginning. She got out of the grave (we donāt know how but who cares) by herself , duke Su let her manipulate him and the boys so that she gets back to the capital. When she needs help she takes/asks for it. Nothing wrong with that. She is still a freaking strong woman.
Yes it's great but don't read the comments because the spoilers ruin the experience.
Donāt even Twitter /tiktok/inta search the actors. Even if you avoid this section, youāll be spoiled. I tried to avoid the spoilers because I was getting the episodes at 12pm on youku and I was still spoiled a number of times on Twitter. š

Thereās been a few great historical dramas since then. Love like the galaxy, a dream of splendor, story of yanxi palace, wonderland of love and story of Kunning palace to name a few. iām sure some would also mention the long ballad.
Wanning was a pitiful character, I felt really bad for her when her hope was utterly shattered by Xue Fangfei.…
In the novel, the beginning is very different. She was framed and locked in a room for three months before the princess decided to end the charade. After the scandal, she got ill and miscarried. While locked the princess was poisoning her but XFF knew something was off and was not drinking the āmedicineā The princess finally sees that XFF is not taking it and orders her maids to hang her. When she dies she wakes up as jiang li. As for jiang li, when she learnt that her engagement with zhou yanbang had been transferred to her half sister, she jumped in the lake out of spite. She fell ill and died. She was at that place for only 5 years. Not ten like in the drama. Jiang li was very very different from the teen we saw in the drama. She seems spoiled and very difficult. Tongāer is also as feisty because she emulated her mistressās behavior. The novel has such a different beginning and both work.

I donāt think there was more to it than her letting him know sheās moving in.
