ok till to date this is the only costume Cdrama with these many Kissing scenes and ..i m not complaining ......lol…
I watched Hidden Love not so long ago. While I liked the drama and her acting there, tbh, I think WYL is the better fit for the role of Tianyan. She brings the necessary level of sweet innocence to the acting table but also the range for the more rougher version of the character after the events of the last episodes, while keeping her underlying steely backbone (one could miss under her love for leasure in life). ZLS can act cute too, but it’s a different kind. And in LLTG she was a force.
I suspect they chose 18 years in order for the baby to grow up into an adult.
One of the posters with the release schedule shows a PC. So it seems the human realm will bring our leads into modern times. We will see how it’s played out.
The last episode was so serving. Our girl being a badass on and off the battlefield. And the talk afterwards with their long-time-no-see-greeting. The connection between their past friendship and today. 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹
Am I the only one who didn’t like her wailing on the battlefield? She fights all professional and then starts…
During that whole part I was like “uh, there is still a battle going on. Grab your sword and get busy.” But on the other hand I gave her some leeway because she was still working through the fact, that 7 of her former deputies got murdered. Now the possibility of losing XJ - it makes her only human to lose it for a moment.
What is with all the negative comments about Legend of a Female General? I enjoy it watching it and so are a lot of other people. The ranking doesn't come from nothing. So - if you haven't watched it yet - give it a go for some episodes if the synopsis sounds promising to you. Taste differs.
When did she encourage him? As far as I have seen, he is the one who initiates opportunities where he can come onto her. 🙄 She was friends with him at the start. But as soon as he started kinda courting her, did she keep a subtle distance and her replies were polite but nonetheless rebuffs of all his advances on a regular basis. But the smitten guy ignores all her subtle hints. Don’t forget that he has an influential position. She needs to be diplomatic , because (strategist that she is) he could be useful in the future (as she pointed out towards XJ - I think it was in on of the previews). I am so done with him as lovesick puppy who waxes poetry and plays the flute. Take one of the hints, dude. She just isn’t into you. Stop pestering her.
Screams low budget but so far fun to watch. The overall vibe reminds me of “The Eternal Love” drama. The FL there tried to have just a good time, too. 🤣
I don’t recall the exact number of her closed subordinates but there were quite a few that died because of He…
Thank you! That would answer the question what happened to her loyal subordinates as a general. Her personality and abilities creates loyalty within the people around her. Look at her fellow recruits. Some of her old circle would have rebelled against the change behind the mask. She and her brother are too different in character and mannerisms.
I have a question for someone who read the novel: What 7? 8? men was the brother musing about as he was scheming his next treacherous moves? Her former inner circle during her time as the general?
And she's cooking and trying to sew in episode 20, but why is she doing that? He's not even a man in her family.
Imo that part made sense. She’s supposed to try to live to the fullest now besides becoming a general again. Most of her life she suppressed interests beyond military or got scolded for it. Now she can try out things. Obviously needlework, cooking and mending were her choices during/after spending time among these women. And since he was her first love and she loves him still - of course she does things for him. She gave it a try and obviously she shouldn’t quit being a soldier. LOL The last episodes showed that she is more of a tomboy. If by nature or her upbringing, who knows.
Congrats to Ryan Cheng for gaining almost 500.000 new followers 👏🏻🥳💕Fans complimented him for perfectly…
The acting of both actors for the MC are on point. Her effortless switching between cheeky sly brattiness and battle ready strategically thinking warrior plus him showing us a reserved, tactical thinking leader with a seemingly stoic demeanor but full of micro expressions, which are telling us what’s going in his mind. These are some serious acting skills on display. I am surprised the ML hasn’t more leading roles in his resume until today.
I'm currently reading the novel, and while it's still very early, the He Yan in the drama is very similar in temperament…
Thank you for your insights from the novel. Ngl, I didn’t expect so much easygoing fluffiness and after 1/3 of the 16th episode I definitely started to miss the warrior. But on the other hand I thoroughly enjoyed their verbal sparring while fake smiling at each other and the (more or less) concealed flirting. 😅 And at the end of the 17th episode I thought these parts were necessary to close the deal about their relationship regarding trustworthiness and friendship with love in the making. And the teaser for episode 19 shows her back in soldier armor. 💪

Obviously I overlooked that part even during rewatching the first episodes.
Why does she speak of Rufei as her stepbrother? It confuses me every time.
That part didn’t make any sense. But at least they added some blood splatter to XJ’s face. How he got them - who knows.
