First episode was kind of a mixed bag for me. First half didn't sell imo. But the second half thankfully changed the vibe to more serious and depths. That part will bring me back for the next ep 😁
why is her character acting all depressed? she has great connections with two supposedly hotties, a somewhat fulfilling…
Did you skip the parts, where they showed her childhood? The bullying? The loneliness? Our childhood plays an integral part about how our emotional landscape is built. Yes, some personalities thrive despite it. But the majority takes it into adulthood as underlying insecurities, which can dominate your behavior despite seemingly no reason for it.
oh the rating fell again ? i haven't started watching yet did something happen ?
Towards the end it has some lazy writing, which is annoying. Otherwise it is definitely worth to check it out. Don't get discouraged. 2 cute side couples as a bonus 🥰
Imo it was a good drama until the last 2 episodes. That break up dialogue was weird logic and lazy writing. Yes, it was good, that she prioritized herself at that point. But the breakup could have been prevented with an open conversation about "I need time to catch up" and some necessary boundaries in the meantime, to prevent, that his well-meaning caring doesn't stifles her growth. The final scene with the proposal for a shared project would have still worked.
I really love the actress, but I'm not a big fan of the male lead. I just can't imagine any romantic chemistry…
Same. Big fan of TXW, but big reservations about HYT. But while their chemistry isn't great, overall it still works for me. Ended up liking the drama a lot more than expected.
I not trying to be harsh when I say this, but the ML's performance was the weakest of the actors in the main ensemble.…
I have the same impression. His lacking acting wasted a lot of potential, this drama had. He should've started another job after his scandal a few years back
I also just began with this, I've seen someone comments about the order to watchThe Mystic Nine 1The Mystic Nine…
Tysm. Archives: The Nanyang Mystery should be added to this list. (Don't ask me, where, since it's the only drama of this universe I watched until now)
I'm at ep 22, and that first heat passion spark between Meng and the Emperor feels so...eek! It's cringe and barf.…
While I disagree on their chemistry, that drugged by a fruit scene really felt more comical and forced than sensual. I couldn't take it seriously for a moment 🤣😂😂.
currently on ep 21. Finally realized, why I'm getting frustrated with her character. In the beginning they portrayed her as clever and street smart. Since getting her position she shows still knowledge, but where did her being clever in situations go? She figuratively acts like an axt, when a scalpel is required. I love a strong female character, but the character development got in the wrong direction with her. You want constantly slap some sense into her now. *urgh* Ty for reading. Needed to vent a little 😭
When they finally give us some comedy, people start complaining 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️Like, what made…
While tagged as romcom, the last 8 eps were more somber in the mood with some comic relief moments in between. This ep flipped the vibe with the drawn out jealousy parts, which were ment to be funny, but got stale fast (imo). It didn't fit the rest of the - so far aired - drama. So I am not surprised by the critics. I wasn't overly impressed either. Thankfully towards the end the show got back to the more somber vibe and picked up the story again
Episode 8. The scene one the stairs between the siblings. Had anyone else the feeling of a deja Vu? I could swear, I watched this part nearly 1:1 before in a series (staircase included)
I'm on ep 18 and my guess is, that our pharmacist hustler is the blood moon mask and Gu is the black mask. And since our hustler is so invested in keeping the fl alive and well, and he reacted so weird to her shoulder wound (markings?), ig, fl is somehow related to the Zhouwen clan.
It went exactly as expected 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ofc they all know, they're dating
The characters are all so quirky. Love the vibe 😁
