Cool story but tell him to stop being a hypocrite in regards to BLM and Hong Kong first. Or how he supports the…
Regarding the China-HK issues, I initially commented on the news reports and articles, but they are very complex and I'm not sure I am competent enough to comment anymore so I deleted it.
But its definitely far from just a police brutality concern. You have to look at many other things like: how HK was being taken away from China in 1800s due to the opium war, when the British influxed opiums into the Chinese. HK was officially returened to China in 1997; The concept of communism; Current foreign interferance regarding HK; Rise of China's technology and economic power. Etc, etc, etc.

We don't have to like the same actor. But I think discussions are good to see other's point of views

I think maybe what really upset you mainly are the racial, social, etc, inequalities in Thai's entertainment industry and society. Instead of specific actors/actresses.

I welcome discussing issues with you anytime.

Take care

Is this version better than the 2017 version? I will give this a go if the dynamic is more like the original 2003…
Hm, I'm not sure. It's different from both 2003 and 2017. The korean style has a different feel than the two Japanese ones. If I were to rank them, I'd say I like 2003 the most, then 2017, then 2011. Not sure if this helped answer your question.

Regarding Bright apologizing, I think it's basically damage control, for his ignorance on China's sovereignty matters.
Sovereignty matters are serious matters and should never be taken lightly. Wars can start there.
Him being ignorant of the issues doesn't mean he has a political stand on the issues. It just means he offended people without knowing any better.
Bright is a popular celebrity, but he's not a powerful person. He's an employee earning a salary.
The Chinese fan base is a large revenue source for the stake holders. If Bright looses this huge fan base, the stakeholders looses huge profits.
So when the Chinese fans felt upset by Bright's carelessness regarding Taiwan and HK, my guess is somebody told Bright to apologize and Bright toed the line. It's more about damage control in business, than about personal political stands.
To Bright, it's probably a misunderstanding, however, this misunderstanding stems from his ignorance of a serious issue that has serious consequences.
If Bright did not apologize, I can imagine it negatively affecting his career.

Bright is not a powerful person. At least not yet. He has no backing from powerful authorities. I'll give you an example of what I mean. There's a Korean kpop boygroup called BTS. They also had a 'misunderstanding' with their Chinese fans this year, and they lost endorsements, product imports, contracts, etc, as a result. However, BTS is highly valued, like a national treasure, in Korea. What ended up happening, in a simplified version of the event, was Korea's foreign minister confronted China on this issue, and China's foreign minister responded saying there's no change in the countries' peaceful relationship. Bright doesn't have such levels of backings.

Bright apologizing doesn't imply that he supports or not support the issues regarding HK and the free world. It has no implication of his personal opinions. His personal opinion is pretty irrelevant in this case.

In certain ways, his apology is actually him being reprimanded.

I'll need more time to type up my views on th China-HK matter. I'll send this part off for now. Take care Reinee.

I can't stand it when Win looks sad or uncomfortable, I worry about him a lot lol I saw the moment that you mentioned…
Yes, I'm aware. But it's unfortunate that my comment was perceived as bringing him down as I have no malicious intentions at all. Take care and Happy New Year

Happy New Year Reinee :-)

Reinee, I'm certain there are people in the MDL community who share your views, hence please do not feel you are alone on these issues. However, you are in Bright's profile page where most of Bright's fans visits, hence you will find people feeling upset about your comments.

It seems you are very passionate about the Thai protest, BLM, and China-HK issues, unjust violences. I'm thinking it's probably primarily these issues that are bothering you rather than specific actors/actresses? I'll try to state my points without triggering you even more as best as I can.

Regarding Tay, he's not my bias so I don't follow his news. I'll go by what you say about him. It's very brave of Tay to publically support the protesters. As far as I read from the news, protestors and supporters have been jailed or reprimended someways. I'm aware that a Thai rapper was jailed and a Thai actress lost some of her projects/contracts due to their involvement of the protest. I ask myself, if I'm Thai, will I join the protestors to fight for equality in this climate? I don't think I'll have the courage to answer either way.

Regarding BLM, Bright's apology to China and China-HK issues, I feel you are jumbling up issues that are not comparible.

BLM is a Human Right's issues. Bright's apology to China I see it more as B toeing the line than his personal political stand. The China-HK issues are very complex, and it should not categorise the same way as BLM.

For Bright to have a stand on BLM doesn't mean he has to have any opinions on other matters be them political or social or financial, etc.
B's stand on BLM and his responds, or lack there of, regarding China-HK and Thailand should not be taken as related.

I'll type about his apology and China-HK, it'll be a long comment and I'll need some time. So I'll send this one first. I'll follow up the rest in a moment.

TBH, and I think this comment will offend some Win fans, and I'm aware that I'm in Win's profile page where mostly Win's fans visit. So I'll appologize now, ahead of time. Please understand that these are just my personal opinions.

I unfollowed Win just earlier today. There are qualities I like about Win and I became a fan. But recently, I'm finding some of his other qualities difficult to accept.

In his IG postings the past few days, you see him travelling with his family this holiday despite global warnings against nonessential travellings during the pandemic. I find that difficult to accept. Many people have died or fallen ill due to covid. To give you a perspective where I'm coming from, multiple of our government officials here in my country were reprimended and had to resign because they vacation travelled this holiday, which is non-essential.

He posts his current luxurious vacation, expensive christmas macroons, etc, I find that very insensitive given what a lot of people are going through right now: The global unemployed rate is record high. Many people lost so much financially due to the pandemic. The pandemic has brought a lot of people below the poverty line globally. And governments all over the world are in massive debts trying to help this financial crises of their people. These debts will take YEARS to pay off, mainly through taxes. As far as I can see, tax payers will have less spare money for years to come. Win's recent postings seems so detached, even though news regarding these crisis are reported daily for months now.

There's no expectations for Win, or anyone, to openly show empathy or sympathy. However, one can still show considerations and sensitivity to them. Going on expensive vacations abroad now and posting travelling pictures during the second wave of the pandemic is really inconsiderate.

To Win's defense, I think he's innately a very kind hearted person. Just by how he offered to help the Filipinos during the flood (? I think it's a flood), I really liked Win for that. And as far as I know, Win initiated it spontaniously during BW's Phillippine interview. Win also automatically cries when he hears his fans are suffering. So I honestly believe he is innately kind hearted.

Also, Win is only 21 (?) years old, so maybe he's not old enough to understand the seriousness of these issues? But the people/adults/professionals around him should know better, and should have given him proper advises

Does it matter?
Vermouth, If one's decision on being his fan or not depends on his sexual preference, that'll just mean sexual discrimination.
Any judgemental conversations or negative gossips or others based on whether he's gay or not, also means discrimination
It's not a value system anyone should happily adopt at this day and age.
Happy New Year btw. Take care.

Thanks.

Where can I find all bts bon voyage episodes?
Youtube have some full episodes, but some episodes are only clips. KissTVShow has complete episodes of all the 4 seasons bon voyage, but that site have pop-ups. I believe Dramacool has all complete of them also. Happy watching :-)
