Title Still 2gether Spoiler
I think he plays the wife role pretty well.
I always worry I might offend people in MDL. I wasn't able to tell from your reply. Please do not take offense should that be the case, it wasn't intentional. But I'm glad you pointed it out though. I edited my comment, hope it's better :-)

Title Still 2gether Spoiler
I know Bright is not the best actor, but I find him very convincing playing the husband role. Very natural actually. B is very natural projecting the 'bad boy vibe' also in 2gether. Makes me think maybe that's how B is in real life.

I like Win's acting since 2gether, but he's not convincing as the wife, but that could just be me. He comes across more like a 'pouty kid' than a wife with 'feminine' needs/longings/demands/complains/etc. Doesn't help having Sar keep patting him on the head either.

I just about died when Phuking told Mil to pat his head LOL.

To be fair, it's probably hard to portrait as the 'female', assuming Win's straight. There's room for him to improve if he wants to beĉome a serious long-term actor playing multiple and diverse roles. He does very well in the crying scenes, both in 2G and ep3 here.

As for Win's appearence, I do find Win a lot 'prettier, more girlish' in S2G than 2G. I believe it's his make up? His lips looks thicker, eyes sharper, skin flawless, etc, etc.
As for B, B just have to look at the camera. LOL.

Just finished ep 197. I'm so glad Lee Yeon Bok said Sun Young is prettier than Jin Young. I totally agree with LYB. But more importantly, I felt FINALLY someone is appreciative of SY's looks.
It really bothered me that SY's own family is so negative towards her and her weight. They keep focusing on her weight and have no other topic about SY to present to the audience. I find them 'cruel' and 'hurtful'.
However, to be fair, it could very well be their assigned 'characators' for the show, idk. But still, there should be a limit.
Good for LYB!

Title Gameboys
I'm feeling it for Gav.The writers really went into the psychology of the character. He would have abandonment…
Personally, I don't think it's 'bad' or 'bad timing' that Terrance contacted Gav.
Large numbers of people of all ages globally are finding the isolation difficult, in addtion to other issues like finances, unemployment, domestic violences, etc. Mental health problems are on the rise globally.
I feel it's actually a blessing for both Terrance and Gav that they could rely on each other for the time being. It could be viewed as 'bad timing' if they get confused and start having an 'affair'. However, affairs can happen to good people. I wouldn't try to 'judge' such actions during these unprecedented times.
Just my personal view. Take care.

On Where Your Eyes Linger Aug 23, 2020
Just watched again, for the nth time LOL. Still loving it!!!! It's one of those series that'll "linger" on in my memories for a very long time.

I find, unlike Thai BLs where they ship the MLs so we remember the ships seperately to the series, the koreans did not advertise any 'HanJang ships'. At least I did not come cross any.
This story is so beautiful on it's own, there's really no need to have the 'ship' to prop up it's status. However, Han and Jang's chemistry, skills, performances, visuals, and many more aspects, were superb. Would very much love to see them again in the future. BLs or non-BLs

I think it might be to their disservice if we ship them, as that may limit them to be only BL actors. I think they will both perform very well regardless the genres.

Or it could simply be that 'shipping' is only a culture amoung Kpop idols, not Kdrama actors? idk.

In anycase, shipping or no shipping, I still LOVE LOVE LOVE the series and the actors. :-)

Sorry ahead of time. Not the most appropriate or tasteful comment below. I wasn't sure if I should delete it but I ended up keeping it.

****************

Is it just me or is ep 2 badly done? I thought the shootings from one scene to another so disjointed and the story segmented. They did not flow properly at all ??!!

Putting that aside, OMG Bright is sooooooooo good looking here !!! Forget falling asleep, I'd just jump Sar 24/7 if I were Tine LOL.

I wanted to punch Tine when he pretended to give Sar a kiss but picked up the guitar instead.
Seriously, I was SO pissed I would've walked right into my laptop and punch the guy if I could. LMAO.

It's funny and cute Sar's whipped. Seems like Dim's whipped too, you go girl Green! I thought Bright did a great job acting as the whipped husband.

It's also funny when Bright just sucks air up his nose when he's suppose to kiss Win on the cheek in the scenes.

Frank looks taller, I guess he's still growing? *warm smiles*

Thumbs up to ManType. Man&Boss and Green Power!

Two other mainland China bromances that's really good: "The Sleuth of Ming Dynasty" and "S.C.I".I like "Handsome…
YES YES YES!!! I love all the ones you listed !!
The only 'complain' I have with some of the Chinese dramas are the sudden 'cut off' endings. One I remember is Addict. It was weird. Maybe they are trying to hint about a sequel?? idk

I hope in Ronin's case being attracted to guys isn't limited just to the one guy he likes. Let him be comfortably…
Just out of curiosity. Not arguing, not judging. Just want to know your point of view.

Why do you prefer them being gay for men in general, instead of just focusing on one partner be it male or female? I guess, to me, the latter will mean he's more of a loyal man? since his affection is solely toward the individual regardless if male/female/trans/etc? Whereas the former could mean he could be distracted by multiple men? since his trigger depends on the sexual orientation of the person, instead of the individual?

Just asking. Thanks.

Which interviews did Bright say concerning things? I love B and got concerned when I read your post. Any links…
Thank you.

Umm…Apparently a fan-service attemp when it comes to the plot. If you only want to see two cute guys being lovey-dovey…

I like "Handsome Brothers" too, but the mls are actually brothers, so I'm not sure if that's considered as BL.

People are really picky with anything related to this series and these actors, any minor flaw that usually is…

I believe this credit goes to the new director? Sar and Tine's charactors seem to be defined slightly differently here than in 2gether. I think it's a positive change and they seem to match better with the signatures unique to Sar/Tine.

Sar/Tine's two signatures are:1) Sar keeps asking to sqeeze Tine's breast. 2) Sar always pat Tine on the head. They are unique to Sar/Tine because i hardly see those done that often in other BLs. However, it could be that I haven't watched enough BLs.

In 2gether, Sar's charactor has a 'bad boy' vibe and a 'cold' vibe, which I think Bright performs very well and very naturely. He's like a magnet in those styles and he's extremely good looking with those facial expressions of 'no smiles', 'cold straight stern serious face', 'eyes narrowing without speaking' etc etc. There are scenes, though limited, where Sar is very gentle, like when he nursed Tine's wounds in his room. But even then the sounds of his voice was so sexy. Sar was definitly very charismatic in 2g and Bright brought it out wonderfully.
While Tine is masculine and sporty as well. Both body and facial expressions are as 'manly' and comparible to Sar. But Tine was much warmer, more talkative, less independant. So I could not tell the seme/uke untll the sofa scenes.

I think with both their masculine sporty type of charactor definitions, one would naturally expect aggressive sex. Like a toned down version of Max/Tul's.

In S2G, I find Tine's charactor way more feminine than when he was in 2g. His interactions and facial expression changes when he's with Sar. I though Win was REALLY 'pretty' in many of the scenes. Very girlish. I think his makeup was done deliberately for it.
While Sar's charactor is warmer and more mature, almost in a 'fatherly' way. The sexy bad boy vibe is way less than in 2g.

So their new charactor definitions suits much better with the 'patting on the head'. As for the 'squeezing breast', I think it's the signature they'll incooperate it regardless. It means Sar is a perv period. LOL.

I'm not sure who's credit is that, but I think it's the new director's interpretations of Sar/Tine, and he guided Bright/Win's actings that way?

I really really love Sar/Tine's charactors in 2g, especially Sar's vibes. But their charactors did not evolve properly after they became officially a couple.

I think Backaof has a better understanding of how to evolve them.

Just my thoughts.

just watched ep 1. Really cute and happy drama up to this point. The story line is a bit silly though and I wasn't sure if I'd like it. But everything worked in ep 1, I laughed a few times too.
Both ML's and FL's actings are great. ML is hot and FL is cute. The scenery, sets, and backgrounds are very attractive, perfect shooting I'd say.
Looking forward to the next eps.

Re-watching this drama again. Still think it's a good drama.
But thoses REALLY ANNOYING charactors still bug the hell out of me LOL. (bi**** daughter and ass**** grandpa). Sorry, pardon my language.
And the way YBT and KMJ keeps making decisions on how others should live their lives, commit others money to events before asking their consent, and how others must behave, etc, really bother me too. I'd have left them a long time ago.
As time goes by, I think the later generations of viewers will really find this drama hard to stomach. I already find a lot of the issues outdated and the families behaviours are quite out of line and hard to relate.
However, it was heart warming the way the families learn to accept YTS and KS.
I think given the time period this drama is made with the social and family problems at that era, the family still holds together, I believe that's the message of the story.
