I honestly didn’t expect this drama to affect me this much. It’s slow, quiet and deeply emotional, touching on grief, healing, memories and learning to live in the present. The hospice stories were the highlight for me. Each patient has their own story, and together they make the drama feel much more meaningful.

And of course, the food! Every dish is connected to a memory, a person or an emotion, which makes the cooking scenes surprisingly touching.

Ha Ji-won and Yoon Kye-sang were both fantastic, especially in the quieter scenes where they had to convey so much without saying much. The only thing I really wish we had gotten more of was their relationship after they finally got together. I would have loved to see more of them as a couple, especially as they tried to deal with and slowly overcome the trauma from their past and everything they were still carrying in the present. I think that could have made their relationship feel even more complete.

But overall, it’s the kind of drama that doesn’t scream for your attention, but somehow stays with you after it ends.
