Must watch! Story of great character develoment
It has a very great start! Character development and variety of background of the main characters (fei, yun, mom, dad, grand dad, etc..) always raise very strong curiosity. Not to mention new characters that may or may not last lots of episodes (as I watched thru #12 yet, not sure how they will last) are each given their own short story, it is just like short stories that are developing within the grand plan of the legend to give backgrounds as well as to raise curiosity! This reminds me of how the legendary writers Gu Long, Liang Yushen, and Jin Yong present their stories. Zhao Liying usually plays her characters on Princess Agent, Rookie Agent, and Journey of Flower, is expected to be played very great as Zhou Fei, very similar character development, attitude and plays. She, as always, plays very consistent (or coz the writers wrote the character to play consistently). Xie Yun character is a little bit different that how Wang Yibo plays his character Lan Zhan in the Untamed, but I like it more in this series. Xie Yun character as of these 12 episodes is not played very consistent as Zhou Fei is , but well we'd see how this goes. This could also be part of the writer's plan...Was this review helpful to you?
Very intricate story plots, compelling cases and reasons
I think this is the best play of Dilraba Dilmurat (Princess Chang Ge) in all of her series so far. She has been progressing very well since I watched her first time in Ethernal Love 1st (with Yang Mi). Rosy Z Zhao playing Princes Le Yan is not bad either, she postures herself to always look beautiful, even though it is not naturally played as well as Dilraba. I'd think Leo Wu (Ashile Sun) and Kudousi (Ashile She Er), JIn Song (Khan) and Geng Le (Li Shimin Emperor) play the best among the actors. Alan Feng (Shu Yu) is the worst if I may say, I cannot see his affection shown to us nevertheless to who he like, this can also be by design. Liu Yining playing Hao Du is even better, we know how he is in agony in liking the one he loves.I also like the progress of the characters that changes from one state to the other state with compelling reasons, as well as consistency of attitude to solve problems. How the romance been progressing between multiple couples are also storied very well. Kudos to the director that is able to cast the best characters. The writer did a great job with all the saying and discourses between and among characters that become the ground of how they see things, and what they do and accomplish. If you watch the series you will know what I mean!
Just like many Jiang Hu series, there are cases to solve. In this series, cases are separate cases and not much linked one another and never escalate from simple to complex or culmination. However, IMO, cases is built to make compelling reasons that change the characters and change the way the character solve problems and interact with one another. The flashbacks are good to explain many, imo, there are too many hidden plots presented to us. But these are what we like right? Many sweet surprises!

What an ending !
A very interesting development of relationship between the two main leads (Zhan Yan and Duanmu Cui), but IMO an odd development of the relationship of the other main leads (Wengu and Hong Luan). Three main clans Demon, human, and high-immortal (gods) are entangled in a great story. I combined the part 1 and 2 in this review. The story starts from a very fresh depiction of a high-immortal Duanmu Cui that is very proud of herself as the best, smartest and prettiest high-immortal but at many times are clumsy and meets Zhan Yan, a constable officer in Qifeng City . The series cleverly fills in background of each lead during select situations, for example how Duanmu Cui becomes high-immortal, how she is afraid of something, relations among high-immortals, how the "reincarnated" prime minister remember the past, how a demon becomes in such a pitiful state, and so on. As we expect that any pair will fall in love, and as as many other stories, the pair does not start with liking each other, the love developing bw the twos is the one I want to know, and what it is at the end! I like the stories mostly in the progress of the relationships in criminal case by case that they solve . As usually in many stories, there are always cases happening that support the relationship development. IMHO not all cases in this series are "logically" can happen, when it happens I just skipped them LOL. Overall 8.5 is my point for this series due to the super great acting of Duanmu Cui (Zhao Yi Shang), and the handsomeness of Zhan Yan (Darren Chen, playing Meteor Garden as Hua Ze Lei). Kudos to Zhao Yi Shang, hope to see her in other series!

Love story that runs very deep
The story has ups and downs as usual and issues resolves pretty fast except a few. This makes the series entertaining and making me glued on TV for hours (and nights). Long unresolved issues are what are the fate of Yu Si Feng and Chu Xuan Ji, not to mention other couples in the story; The progression of love story in each couples are so making sense but some time are unexpected. Couples could or could not be reunited, very intriguing until the end, and I do not want to spoil it.The story starts with the existence of 3 realms or groups, Human, Deities and Demons. It starts from some clans of Demon and Humans and even deities to expect the rises of the Mosha Star and the God Of War, two powerful figures that vanished 1000 years ago. At the beginning of watching, I had been very curios on who they were, how they did in the past, why they were vanished, what their relations to the human, demon and deities? and so on. Apparently, they have been answered one at a time, and raising more questions. Very well narrated and flowed.
Demon or human clans even the deities has own purposes for the rise or the coming of both power figures. As the story goes, it is expected to eventually coming, God of War has reincarnated on the earth in the form of an unexpected cultivator in a certain clan, this was coming at an unexpected time for me. Once everyone knows it, the next to know is where Mosha Star is. The power of love is the main theme in the entire story, as well as how love is developing. The love story runs very deep and very surrendering each other, I'd think that this is the power of the story.
